Our City Stay tours visit some of the most sought-after European cities. Living like a local in London? You got it. Feeling at home in Rome? Of course! You pick the incredible place and leave all the planning to us.

Our City Stay destinations are London, Rome, Florence, Paris, and Barcelona. On each trip, you’ll spend a week in an incredible locale that begins with an expertly led sightseeing tour and ends with you, falling in love with a brand-new city. What happens in between is up to you! You’ll be able to choose between free time or handpicked activities that let you delve deeper into a destination’s history and culture.

Spring in Paris or summer along Barcelona’s sunny Mediterranean shores? There’s no bad time for a City Stay! Just remember, in busy travel times you may have to contend with more crowds in Europe’s top cities. So, you may want to consider city trips in slower seasons like spring or fall, when the weather is a little cooler and the streets are less busy.

Feeling festive? A couple of our City Stay trips coincide with New Year’s Eve celebrations! Join the party in London on our special departure, or ring in the new year in Rome.

What is a City Stay? It’s the chance to get to know one incredible place inside and out! On each of our escorted city breaks, you’ll get to know your location with a sightseeing tour led by an expert local guide. Then, each day is yours to decide: Add optional excursions that invite you to discover new sides of your destination or take time to explore on your own. Either way, your Tour Director will always be around to offer guidance so you can make the most of your travel experience.

On our group city breaks, you’ll also enjoy breakfast every day at your centrally located hotel, along with two group dinners to kick off the trip and celebrate the amazing time you had on tour.

Unpack once, enjoy the week—that’s the beauty of our city breaks. Even though you won’t be moving to a new hotel or destination daily, we still recommend packing as light as possible for any trip! One suitcase and one carry-on per person is a good rule of thumb.

The weather in Europe varies from season to season, so what to pack depends on when you’re traveling. But having layers for varying temperatures, as well as good walking shoes and raingear is always a good idea.
