North America is incredible from coast to coast. Check out our U.S. tours and Canada tours for more ideas to add to your travel wish list.
With varying climates across its many regions, North America is a year-round destination. The best time to travel on our escorted tours of North America depends on the type of experience you'd like to have during your trip, and which locations you'll be visiting.
Summer is a popular time to visit coastal regions, as well as national parks in the U.S. and Canada. In the autumn, New England and the Canadian Maritimes burst with fall foliage. If Alaska is on your list, late spring through the early fall is your best bet—and Hawaii is a fantastic destination all year long.
We always recommend packing light for North America tours. You should feel comfortable managing your own baggage at the airport, so one suitcase and one carry-on per person is a good guideline.
Take a look at what the weather will be in your destination so you're prepared for the temperature (which may be quite different than at home!). Bring lightweight clothing that can be easily layered, in case of any unexpected changes in temperature. Be sure to bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes as well, since our North America group tours involve exploring with local guides.
After you've reserved one of our guided tours of North America, we'll send you more information about how to prepare for your trip and share a packing list in our mobile Tour Companion App.
