Staying active while you’re staying home is tricky—especially if you’re like me and live in a small apartment. Luckily, there are a ton of fitness classes that you can do online! Here are just a few inspired by destinations around the world.

Yoga
Yoga has been practiced in India for thousands of years, and yoga-as-exercise is based on Hatha yoga from the middle ages. So, it’s not just one of the world’s most popular workouts—it’s also one of the oldest.
If you’re a beginner, this channel from Alo Yoga has a lot of quick classes with tips for getting started.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art with a focus on meditation. The Tai Chi Wushu studio out of Bend, Oregon is offering live-streamed classes on Saturday mornings—but you can watch past videos any time!
Zumba
Started by a choreographer in Colombia, Zumba is a high-energy dance-style workout. I’ll admit, I usually feel pretty uncoordinated whenever I’ve gone to a class at the gym. At home, it’s nothing but fun!
Flamenco dancing
Seville’s signature dance style is also a great way to get active. Bring a little Andalusian flair home with online classes from LS Sevillanas out of Cambridge (not far from our Boston office!). Their lineup includes everything from beginner-level classes to flamenco for kids—so the whole family can get in on the fun.
