The speakers
Heidi Durflinger, President of EF Go Ahead Tours, has almost 20 years of experience in the travel industry. She has worked in both direct-to-consumer and group affinity educational travel roles. Her extensive background in the tourism sector includes sales strategy and leadership, service, marketing, market innovation and development, quality control, and risk management. Her interest in cultural exchange and travel stems from childhood. Her family brought the world to her small hometown in Kansas by hosting international students for 10 years, giving her a truly global extended family. She has lived in Mexico and Spain, and is currently based out of our North American headquarters in Boston. Adventure, food (particularly gelato), fitness, and travel are her passions!
David Evans, Vice President of Operations, is based in our Zurich office and is celebrating his 20th year at EF. David is British and has also worked for EF in London and Amsterdam. In his 20 years with EF, he has worked in finance, sales, the Tour Director department, and operations. David joined the Go Ahead Tours Operations Team 18 months ago, where he is responsible for producing our incredible travel experiences in Europe. David loves to travel with his wife and two daughters to experience the culinary delights in new destinations.
