RAW. WILD. AWESOME.

Iceland tours discovery guide

When it comes to raw, natural landscapes, the Land of Fire and Ice delivers in a really big way. But there’s more to this Nordic isle than its waterfalls, geysers, and glaciers—modern cities, Viking tales, and warm locals await on our trips to Iceland, too.

What to know before you go

POPULATION

Roughly 350,000 people call Iceland home. That’s just nine people per pristine square mile.

CULTURAL QUICK TAKE

Many Icelanders believe in, and are extremely respectful of, elves. Locals call them Huldufolk, or hidden folk.

WHAT TO GO FOR
Year-round dramatic scenery, sustainable cities, and some of the world’s best lamb and seafood.

Two seasons. Two distinct sides of Iceland.

Iceland dazzles all year round, but winter and summer see the country’s rugged landscape at its frozen and freshest best. Travel to Iceland on one of these two beloved tours for a taste of these seasons’ highlights.

WINTER

Iceland: Reykjavik & the Northern Lights

Waterfalls frozen in motion. Inky blue lagoons dotted with diamond-like icebergs. Black nighttime skies electrified green by the aurora borealis.

SUMMER

Iceland: The Golden Circle & Ring Road

Marshland and dunes brimming with native birds. Moss-covered lava fields and cliffs. The around-the-clock glow of summer’s never-setting sun.

What travelers are saying about their Iceland tours

Trip of our lifetime
03/12/22 by 1st-time traveler Mary
From the time we got off the plane to the time we left, we had an absolutely fabulous time. Our guide and driver were absolutely the best on the island, in my opinion. We couldn’t have a better time.

I have been thinking of going to Iceland for quite a while and finally!! EF Go Ahead Tours took care of all my desires. This trip was awesome from my initial deposit to the finish! This country was amazing, yet so different than any I’ve visited before. Don’t miss this trip!!
Iceland: The Golden Circle & Ring Road
A Most Amazing Tour

I can barely put into words how wonderful this trip was... From touchdown in Reykjavik, to the Golden Circle and the Black Beaches of the South Coast then on to The Blue Lagoon, everything was stunningly beautiful. This may be my favorite tour with Go Ahead.

I loved our experience when we went to Iceland. Everything about our trip was fabulous; no complaints. If you are planning on a trip, this trip was so far the best trip ever I have been on.

Our one regret about our recent trip to Iceland is that it only lasted 10 days. There is so much to see and learn about this fascinating country we would have gladly stayed longer. Anyone who gets off a plane in Reykjavik and spends a few days has not really visited Iceland; it is so much more.
