Special Event Spotlight

From December 24, 2024, to January 6, 2026, the Jubilee—a major Catholic celebration—will take place in Rome. On some departure dates during this time, tour itineraries may be modified to accommodate for events taking place in the city. Click here for more information.

Seek the sun, taste the tradition, and leap into the Italian way of life.

Ask the locals about southern Italy and they’ll tell you all about taking life “pian piano”—slowly, slowly. It’s in the way they sip their coffee, linger over a meal, and savor the warm sun baking the seaside. You’ll fall in love with that languid pace, and all over again with Naples’ lively alleys and waterfront. Follow Pompeii’s preserved ruins with the sumptuous cliffs of Sorrento before ending (and perhaps extending) your tour in Rome. You’ll leave with memories and a bellyful of Neapolitan pizza, lemon-kissed baked goods, and as much gelato as you can pile on a cone.

Your tour package includes

  • 7 nights in handpicked hotels
  • 7 breakfasts
  • 3 dinners with beer or wine
  • 5 sightseeing tours
  • Expert Tour Director & local guides
  • Private deluxe motor coach

Included highlights

  • National Archaeological Museum
  • Pompeii ruins
  • Capri
  • Madonnina viewpoint
  • Monte Cassino
  • Spanish Steps
  • Pantheon

Naples

Day 2: Arrival in Naples

Included meal: Welcome dinner

Welcome to Italy! Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers at tonight’s welcome dinner, served with beer or wine. If you need an espresso pick-me-up beforehand, make sure you follow the local custom: Sip a glass of water to cleanse your palate, stir your espresso gently from the bottom to the top, and enjoy it at the coffee counter or sitting down. Try it with no sugar—Italian espresso is much less bitter than you’d think!

Our TD Alessandra was amazing and went above and beyond to help us. At least 11,000 steps per day. Perfect for my wife and me. Less bus time than other tours.
