Day 3: Sightseeing tour of London

View the historical buildings and landmarks of England’s vibrant capital on a guided sightseeing tour.

  • Step inside the Imperial War Museums to see exhibits focusing on people’s experiences during times of war.
  • See Westminster Abbey, the setting for royal coronations, weddings, and funerals.
  • Pass by Wellington Barracks, headquarters for the British Army’s Foot Guards.
  • Visit the Churchill War Rooms and explore the secret underground bunker that the Prime Minister and his Cabinet met in during WWII.
Normandy Region2 nights
Day 4: Ferry to Normandy Region
Included meal: Breakfast

Transfer to Portsmouth and step inside D Day Story Museum. Learn about preparation and execution of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Normandy.

Then, board a ferry and cross the English Channel to the Normandy region in France. Sail along the same waters that the Allied soldiers did prior to the Normandy landings. You’ll dock in the Caen before heading to your hotel in the Normandy region.

Day 5: Sightseeing tour of Normandy Region
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Dive into World War II history alongside your Tour Director during a visit to Normandy, where the Allied troops landed in June 1944.

  • Travel to the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, the burial place for more than 9,000 American soldiers who lost their lives during the Battle of Normandy.
  • Walk along Omaha Beach, the landing site of American troops on D-Day.
  • Visit Pointe du Hoc to view the granite monument that honors the American 2nd Ranger Battalion, which seized German cannons here before they could be used to fire on American troops.
  • Stop in the seaside town of Arromanches, home to one of the main Allied landing harbors, and enjoy free time to explore.

Sit down for an included dinner this evening.

Paris2 nights
Day 6: Transfer to Paris & sightseeing tour
Included meal: Breakfast

Travel to Paris, where a guided tour introduces you to the architecture, scenery, and history of the City of Light’s many neighborhoods, called arrondissements.

  • Stop to take a photo of the Eiffel Tower.
  • See Le Meurice hotel, the Nazi headquarters in Paris.
  • Pass the Louvre and the legendary Notre-Dame Cathedral, located on an island in the Seine River.
  • See the Paris Police Prefecture and the Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation.
  • End in Le Marais, the city’s Jewish Quarter.

Day 8: Luxembourg via Reims

Stop in the French city of Reims and enter the Musée de la Reddition to see where German forces surrendered, ending WWII. After, continue on to Luxembourg and sit down for an included dinner.

Day 9: Sightseeing tour of Bastogne
Included meal: Breakfast

Cross into Belgium and dive into Bastogne’s WWII history on today’s guided tour.

  • View the General George S. Patton Memorial and the Mardasson Memorial, which was designed to look like the stars on the American flag.
  • Visit the Bastogne War Museum and pay tribute to the American soldiers who defended Belgium in WWII during the Battle of the Bulge.

Enjoy a free afternoon in Luxembourg or add an excursion.

Day 10: Cologne via Remagen

Cross into Germany and visit the town of Remagen. You’ll view Ludendorff Bridge, which played a vital role in helping Allied forces cross the Rhine River and defeat the German forces.

Continue on to Cologne to enter Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed Gothic masterpiece, and enjoy free time to explore the city before sitting down for an included dinner this evening.

Day 11: Train to Berlin
Included meal: Breakfast

Board a high-speed train and travel to Berlin. Spend a free evening to explore the city on your own.

Day 12: Sightseeing tour of Berlin
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner

A local guide introduces you to the monuments of Berlin’s WWII history as well as the signs of its re-emergence as a vibrant cultural center.

  • Discover the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol of a reunited Berlin.
  • Walk past the Reichstag building to see where the Parliament of the German Empire met from 1871 to 1918.
  • Pass by the Holocaust Memorial.
  • See Hitler’s war bunker as well as the Topography of Terror Museum, which marks where the SS and Gestapo were once based.
  • View the Detlev-Rohwedder-Haus, former headquarters for the Nazi aviation branch known as the Luftwaffe.
