Why you should experience a Walking Tour

Tour Consultant Stephanie can tell you all about our many tour types and what’s awesome about each of them, but after going on our Spain’s Coast & Islands Walking Tour, she returned with a new appreciation for Walking Tours.

Go Ahead staffer Stephanie can tell you all about our many tour types and what’s awesome about each of them, but after going on one of our Walking Tours, she returned with a new appreciation for these itineraries. Fresh air, exercise, and a unique perspective on some of the world’s most beautiful places are just some of the reasons this might be the way to travel. So, why else are Walking Tours so great?

1

You’ll see twice as much

Walking Tours include not only your typical city sightseeing tour, but also extra walking trips where you get to see twice as much! This gives every traveler an opportunity to get a region’s historical background on a guided tour, with the benefit of having a more active way of exploring the cities and experiencing them in a completely new light.

2

Explore off the beaten path

Ever wonder where the locals go? Tired of the tourist scene? Walking Tours truly take you off the beaten path so you can step foot into small towns and private beaches to soak up the local culture. The walks are created by your Tour Director based upon smaller, less-frequented paths, so you can enjoy the scenery without all the hustle and bustle of a city.

3

There’s more free time

Walking Tours include a lot of activity during the day, so more free time is built into each evening to give you the chance to relax or do whatever you’d like. There are still optional excursions offered in some cities, but with all that is included you can be sure you will not be missing any highlights by enjoying an evening completely to yourself.

4

The group size is smaller

On all of our Walking Tours, you will never have to worry about having a group size larger than 28 people. This will give you a much more personal experience with your Tour Director, as well as the ability to create better relationships with other travelers.

You’ll get the best photo ops

Sick of the glare when you try to take a photo out of a window on the bus? Since you are out and more active on a Walking Tour, you will be able to capture the most incredible photos. With each step you take, you will realize how many amazing shots you are able to get of the surrounding scenery!
