Making the most of your vacation days

Travel is on the horizon. Time to count up your remaining vacation days, because these recommended trips will help you put them to good use.

Dreaming of jetting off on a trip but not sure if you can swing it at work? Studies show that if you’re like many Americans, you may not be putting all of the vacation days you’ve earned to use. So count up your remaining days off, and start planning your next adventure for the months ahead. Here are our recommended trips to help you make the most of your vacation days.

If you have 5 vacation days…

You may want to stay closer to home and less time in the air on a domestic tour. A Fall Foliage Tour of New England is a great way to soak in the scenery!

If you’re up for a quick overseas adventure, our Iceland: Reykjavik & the Golden Circle tour is a great option, especially if you’re only traveling from the East Coast. Or, try a European City Stay in London, Rome, Paris, or Barcelona—settle in and get to know one capital at your own pace.

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

If you have 7 vacation days…

You can opt for a slightly longer trip that spans two weekends. This is the perfect amount of time to get to know the charms of the Emerald Isle—explore it with the power of your own two feet on an Ireland Walking Tour.

For a change of pace if you’ve traveled to Europe recently, why not head down south to Latin America? Experience vibrant Brazilian and Argentinian culture in Rio, Iguazú Falls & Buenos Aires or spend some time exploring the stunning wildlife and tropical scenery of Costa Rica. Or, if you’re not fazed by a little jetlag, you can maximize your time off by taking a 10-day tour of Japan, one our favorite destinations to visit in the fall.

Uluru, Australia

If you have 10 or more vacation days…

You’re one lucky traveler! You’ve got time to jet around the world and experience all the best sites. On a Grand Tour, you can become fully immersed in one country’s culture or get a sweeping look at a region of Europe. After a few weeks in your destination, you’ll leave feeling like a local.

For adventure seekers with plenty of travel time, an Australia & New Zealand tour is an ideal way to spend a few weeks. You’ll be able to experience all the highlights of these South Pacific islands, from Uluru to Sydney to Queenstown.
