My coworker Paula and I discovered this little restaurant while we were on tour together in Iceland a few years back. Not only did they make amazing ramen and momo (Tibetan dumplings), but the chef was such a nice guy and we all chatted as we ate. Turns out, he’d moved to Iceland from New Zealand, and he had a friend from Tibet who worked in a restaurant near my house here in Cambridge. It was everything I love about travel—great food, meeting new people, cultural exchange, and crazy serendipitous coincidences that make the world feel a little more connected. I still follow their Instagram and hope I can get back for more ramen someday!
