5 tips for sharing photos with your tour group

One of the many perks of traveling with a group is the opportunity to swap travel photos with your tour companions. Here are five ways to make sharing photos even easier.

In today’s photo-centric world, the desire to capture and share amazing travel pics is bigger than ever. One of the many perks of traveling with a group is the opportunity to swap travel photos with your tour companions. Didn’t capture that perfect sunset shot by the Seine in Paris? Caught an impromptu toast between travelers at a wine tasting in Tuscany? That’s where photo sharing comes in! Here are five ways to make sharing photos even easier.

Make a Facebook Group

Sure, many of us post travel photos right on our own profiles, but if you want to take your photo-swapping up a notch, create a Facebook Group for your fellow travelers from tour, where you can exchange memories, share pics, plan future trips together, and much more.

Join photocircle

We’ve heard from some Group Coordinators in our Group Travel Program great reviews about the photocircle app. It lets you create members-only albums where you and your group can share limitless photos.

Join a photo storage site

There are tons of options for photo storage apps and sites these days—Shutterfly, Flickr, Photobucket, Google Photos, just to name a few. If you’re someone who likes to organize your photos into albums and then share with others, a site like this may be your best bet.

Use iPhone sharing

App’d out? For travelers with an iPhone, quickly swapping photos through AirDrop or creating iCloud Shared Albums while you’re on tour is easy to do and doesn’t require any added programs or apps. Here are easy tutorials for how to share content using AirDrop and how to create iCloud Shared Albums.

Create a hashtag

Create a custom hashtag for you and your group to use when posting photos on Instagram, so that all the pics can be curated together into a feed just for your group. And while we’re on the subject, the staff here at Go Ahead loves following along with your adventures too! Tag #goaheadtours so we can see what amazing things you and your group are up to.
