Paris3 nights
Day 2: Arrival in Paris
Included meal: Welcome dinner
Bienvenue! After clearing arrivals, transfer from the airport to your hotel to recharge. This evening, join your fellow female travelers at a local restaurant for a welcome dinner, served with beer or wine, and let your first impression of Paris leave you enchanted.
Day 3: Sightseeing tour of Paris
Included meal: Breakfast
Ready to be dazzled by the City of Light through the lens of women’s history and achievement? Follow a local guide on a sightseeing tour that celebrates Paris’ iconic landmarks while spotlighting the women who shaped the city’s story.
- Drive down the sycamore-lined Avenue des Champs-Elysees and take in the magnificent Arc de Triomphe, a symbol not only of military glory but also a frequent site of women’s political activism.
- Pass the 16th-century Pont Neuf and admire Notre-Dame Cathedral. Watching over its arrondissement from an island in the Seine, this Gothic masterpiece was recently restored after the devastating fire that partially destroyed it.
- Stop for a photo at the Eiffel Tower (you know this one!)—soon to feature tributes to pioneering female scientists on its facade.
- Spot Simone de Beauvoir’s grave and her longtime home in Montparnasse, as well as legendary cafes like La Coupole and Cafe de Flore, once buzzing with female intellectuals, artists, and revolutionaries.
- Learn about the demimondes of 19th-century Paris at the Palais Garnier, the opera house where courtesans navigated fame, art, and survival on the fringes of society.
- Wrap up at Rue de la Chapelle, where golden statues from the 2024 Olympics honor trailblazing women in French history—bringing their stories full circle in one powerful visual finale.
Indulge your sweet side this afternoon by adding our optional baking class to your itinerary. You’ll learn the elegant and precise art of French patisserie, try your hand at baking delicate macarons, sample your creations, and bring home some new skills, too. Or, opt to stay back and use your free time to amble to the Champ-de-Mars for some more quality time with the Eiffel Tower.
Day 4: Free day in Paris & evening Seine river cruise
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Use your free day in Paris to forge ahead on your own, maybe wandering through the bookstalls along the Seine or ducking into a quiet courtyard in Le Marais. As you explore, grab a flaky croissant from a corner boulangerie and sip a cafe creme while watching the city wake up around you. (Tip: Greet the shopkeeper with a simple “bonjour!” before ordering.)
If you’d like to join us on an optional excursion, we’ve planned a women-focused tour of the opulent Palace of Versailles. You’ll have the opportunity to dive into the lives of queens, salonnieres, and revolutionaries who once walked its gilded halls. From Marie Antoinette’s private retreat to the political salons that shaped Enlightenment thought, you’ll uncover the stories of women who left their mark on Versailles—and on history.
This evening, come back together with your group for an included dinner, served with beer or wine, at a local restaurant. Afterward, take to the water for a scenic cruise on the Seine and watch the City of Light come alive—its bridges, monuments, and boulevards glowing under the night sky.
Loire Valley3 nights
Day 5: Loire Valley via Orleans
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Ready to leave the city behind? Today, you’ll head south into the heart of France, trading Paris’ buzz for the serene beauty of the Loire Valley, a region known for its storybook chateaux, rolling vineyards, and riverside towns that seem plucked from a painting.
Next up: Orleans, a city with roots that run deep and stories that rise up from every cobblestone. Meet a local guide for a walking tour of the city’s historic center and learn about Joan of Arc, the teenage warrior-saint who famously turned the tide of the Hundred Years’ War in 1429.
After the tour, enjoy free time to explore on your own. Whether you settle into a cozy cafe tucked along a medieval alley or choose a breezy riverside bistro with views of the Loire River, take a moment to soak up the charm.
Continue to your elegant hotel tucked away in the Loire Valley. Freshen up and gather with your group for tonight’s included dinner, thoughtfully paired with local beer or wine.
Day 6: Sightseeing tour of the Royal City of Loches
Included meal: Breakfast
Step into the heart of the Loire Valley’s medieval past with a guided visit to the Royal City of Loches, a hidden gem nestled among vineyards and whispering forests. In this time capsule, cobblestone streets curve around centuries-old homes and ivy climbs up limestone walls.
- Begin your exploration with a walk through the fortified Old Town. Its ramparts once guarded kings and queens, and its sleepy squares—now dotted with cafes and artisanal shops—were once bustling with political intrigue.
- Visit the Chateau de Loches, one of France’s oldest royal fortresses, dating back to the ninth century. Its towers and turrets rise like sentinels over the valley, and its thick walls have witnessed moments that changed the course of history. This is where Joan of Arc met Charles VII in 1429 and urged him to claim his crown in Reims—a moment that would shift the tide of war.
- Bring the past to life inside the chateau with the HistoPad, an interactive tablet that lets you explore reconstructed rooms, animated scenes, and the lives of monarchs, queens, and key figures who once walked these halls. Step into the royal apartments, peek into the prison tower, and imagine the echo of footsteps in the Great Hall.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You might browse local shops for handmade goods and relax over lunch at a bistro. Or, take advantage of your hotel’s upscale offerings—perhaps unwind at the spa or enjoy a quiet moment in the sumptuously decorated lounge. Looking for dinner plans? Consider adding on this evening’s excursion to a local wine cellar, where you’ll sample regional vintages paired with a delicious meal.
Day 7: Free day in the Loire Valley
Included meal: Breakfast
Spend a full free day soaking in the Loire Valley at your own pace. For a women-focused cultural experience, visit the Chateau de Montsoreau-Museum of Contemporary Art, dramatically perched on the banks of the Loire River. The only chateau built directly in the river’s bed, its limestone walls seem to rise straight from the water. Inside, the galleries hold one of the world’s most important collections of conceptual art, a bold contrast to the medieval setting.
Or, choose to join us on this afternoon’s curated excursion to the Chateau de Chenonceau, perhaps the most enchanting in the Loire region. Stretching gracefully across the Cher River on its iconic arches, Chenonceau is nicknamed “the Ladies’ Castle” for the extraordinary line of women who shaped its destiny—Diane de Poitiers, who transformed the gardens, and Catherine de’ Medici, who elevated it into a Renaissance showpiece. As you wander its grand galleries and riverside salons, the chateau feels both opulent and intimate, like stepping into a living fairy tale. And because no royal visit is complete without indulgence, you’ll finish with afternoon tea service in the orangerie, gazing out at the gardens that have charmed visitors for decades.
Champagne Region2 nights
Day 8: Reims via Troyes
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Turn your compass north toward the Champagne region, where golden bubbles and rolling vineyards set the stage for what’s next. On the way, pause in Troyes, a medieval gem that feels plucked straight from a fairy tale. Half-timbered houses lean at playful angles, cobblestone lanes twist and turn, and there’s a bit of history hiding around every corner. During your free time, wander the postcard-pretty historic center, or dive into the city’s lesser-told stories. It’s a stop that sparkles with as much character as the Champagne waiting for you at the end of the road.
Afterward, continue to your hotel in the Champagne region and check in. Later this evening, come back together with your group for an included dinner, served with your choice of beer or wine.
Day 9: Sightseeing tour of Reims & Veuve Clicquot Champagne cellar tour
Included meals: Breakfast, Tasting, Wine tasting
Begin your day in Reims, a city where royal tradition and female heroism meet in the most dramatic way. For centuries, this was the coronation site of French kings. It’s also where Joan of Arc forever etched her name in history by leading Charles VII to his crowning after a victory during the Hundred Years’ War. On today’s tour, her story, and the city’s rich past, come vividly to life.
- Visit the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, a Gothic masterpiece where shafts of colored light spill through stained glass onto the very spot Charles VII was crowned with Joan of Arc at his side.
- Explore the Basilica of Saint-Remi. This medieval abbey holds relics of the city’s patron saint and centuries of religious and royal history.
- Sample the delicate pink confection known as biscuit roses de Reims. Traditionally dunked in Champagne, it once sweetened the tables of French nobility.
Continue your journey with a stop at one of Champagne’s most iconic estates, a place where history, glamour, and bubbles come together. This is no ordinary winery visit. It is a toast to a woman who rewrote the rules of winemaking and left a legacy so powerful it was recently brought to the big screen in “Widow Clicquot.”
- Visit Veuve Clicquot’s historic, UNESCO World Heritage-listed cellars to learn how their iconic Champagne is made on an exclusive private guided tour and tasting. You’ll discover the unique savoir-faire of a Champagne house founded 250 years ago, and the inimitable style of its Champagnes, marked by the predominance of the pinot noir grape.
- Cap off your visit and develop your bubbly-tasting skills with a tutored sampling of four cuvees from the Veuve Clicquot range.
Paris1 night
Day 10: Transfer to Paris & fashion-themed sightseeing tour
Included meals: Breakfast, Farewell dinner
This morning, return to Paris for one last experience that celebrates the city’s legacy of high fashion and design.
- Begin at the Galerie Dior. Here, you can immerse yourself in the world of haute couture through beautifully curated exhibitions. Original sketches, archival gowns, and immersive displays reveal how Christian Dior not only shaped global fashion but also redefined Parisian style for generations.
- Continue to Galeries Lafayette. Located near the gilded Opera Garnier, this legendary department store is as famous for its Belle Epoque glass dome as it is for its luxurious atmosphere.
- Take time to shop and stroll. Explore boutiques that showcase top French designers, pause to admire the artistry of the building itself, and feel the pulse of Parisian style at one of the world’s great fashion destinations.
- Gather with your group on the rooftop terrace atop Galeries Lafayette. You’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Paris skyline, a stylish and unforgettable finale to your journey.
Tonight, head to one of the city’s historic cafes and celebrate a trip well-spent with your group at a farewell dinner, served with beer or wine.
Flight Home
Day 11: Departure
Included meal: Breakfast (excluding early morning departures)
Transfer to the airport for your flight home or extend your trip to fall head over heels for the glamorous, lavender-scented French Riviera (and Nice’s sunny Mediterranean shores) on the tour’s extension.
French Riviera extension
Intriguing inlets, captivating capes, and Neptunian blue as far as the eye can see—the French Riviera knows how to put on a show. This tour’s extension gives you a front-row seat to Nice. Part cultural hub, part coastal resort, and entirely fascinating, you’ll fall in love with La Belle—the Nicois’ affectionate nickname for their hometown. Plus, if you’ve ever wished you could bottle the feeling of being abroad, we’ve planned a special, fragrant outing you won’t want to miss.
Nice3 nights
Day 11: Train to Nice
Included meal: Breakfast
Start your day by transferring to the Gare de Lyon railway station and boarding the TGV. (That stands for Train a Grande Vitesse—literally “high-speed train.” With speeds capping out at 200 mph, they mean it!)
After a zippy ride through landscapes that inspired France’s most virtuosic artists, arrive in Nice, the capital of the Cote d’Azur—better known to the world as the French Riviera. Make your way to your hotel and kick back for the rest of the day.
Please note: Since porterage isn’t included on train transfers and storage space is extremely limited, we recommend packing light. You should also feel comfortable lifting all your bags over steps, onto platforms, and into storage.
Day 12: Grasse perfume workshop & tour of the FAMM Museum
Included meal: Breakfast
Spend the day diving into the sensory and artistic legacy of women on the French Riviera with two immersive experiences that celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural impact.
- Travel to Grasse, the world’s perfume capital, and enter a historic perfumery to learn about the art of scent-making.
- Join a workshop led by a perfume expert to create your own Eau de Cologne, using traditional distilling and conditioning techniques.
- Take home your custom fragrance as a one-of-a-kind souvenir, crafted in the birthplace of French perfume.
- Visit the FAMM Museum (Femmes Artistes du Musee de Mougins), Europe’s first permanent museum dedicated exclusively to women artists.
- Join a museum guide for a curated tour highlighting female contributions to impressionism, surrealism, abstraction, and contemporary art.
- Learn how the museum repositions women in art history, giving visibility and voice to artists who have been historically underrepresented or overlooked.
Day 13: Free day in Nice
Included meal: Breakfast
Make the most of your last full day on the French Riviera by tapping into its unbridled beauty—and unbelievable luxury—during today’s optional outing to Cap Ferrat and Eze. Alternatively, dig deeper into the area’s art scene by staying behind in Nice and roaming one of its museums. The Musee Matisse catalogs the works of one of the city’s most celebrated former residents, while the Musee d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain—MAMAC for short—showcases avant-garde creations.
You can also check out the Promenade des Anglais, a waterfront walkway dear to locals and tourists alike, or explore the Old Town (Vieux Nice), a labyrinth of narrow streets connecting bustling squares, quaint cafes, and the vibrant Cours Saleya market.
Finally, rejoin your fellow group members in the evening for a farewell drink and celebrate your trip.

- We recommend packing a reusable water bottle to cut down on single use plastic waste.
- We recommend packing a universal adapter, as well as a voltage converter if you plan on using your own hairdryer or other device without a built-in converter.

- Please be advised that the strength of the air conditioning in European hotels/buildings is often not as strong or as cool as what you might be used to in the U.S. or Canada.
- France operates on the European standard 220-240 volts and uses Types C, E, or F plugs with two small, round pins.
