    EF Go Ahead Tours currently requires that all tour participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must have proof of negative results for a COVID-19 test
    taken within 72-hours before departure. These requirements are in addition to any destination requirements listed below due to US Department of State and CDC guidance, the wellbeing of the group, and/or operational feasibility.

    The United States to Hungary

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test results may be required for vaccinated travelers NEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers who were vaccinated in the United States are required to have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test result must be issued a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. Travelers vaccinated outside the United States who are able to present a certificate recognized by the Hungarian Government are not required to present COVID-19 test results.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Vaccinated travelers must have proof that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 on at least 1 occasion and that 1 year has not passed since the first vaccination with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency, World Health Organization for emergency use, or with a vaccine allowed in Hungary. Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof. Travelers from a country outside of the EU and that have made an agreement with the Hungarian government to accept foreign vaccination certificates may provide a vaccination certificate issued in those countries. Currently, vaccination certificates are also accepted from these countries: Albania, Austria, Bahrain, Cyprus, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Georgia, Croatia, India, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Cape Verde.     No proof of negative COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelersNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Fully vaccinated travelers with proof of vaccination do not need to present negative COVID-19 test results.

    Masks are mandatory in public

    Travelers must wear masks in most indoor settings. The FFP2 mask is required in public transportation, cable cars, and all shops.

    To visit Austria for Business or Tourism, you do not require a visa. To check permitted length of stay and other entry requirements, visit the government site.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Fully vaccinated travelers must show proof of having received all doses of the vaccine before travel. Travelers can also show proof of past infection, and 1 vaccination dose, received at least 22 days before travel. Travelers who do not have proof of vaccination in German or English must use the Austrian government official health certificate in either language to certify vaccination. Vaccines recognized to enter Austria are BioNTech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca (Covishield), Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Sinovac, and Sinopharm. - Travelers are allowed to enter if they have received mix-and-match vaccines. - Sinovac and Sinopharm are not valid for entering hotels, restaurants within Austria. Please see the source for more details on vaccine validity, and accepted vaccine combinations. Travelers have the option to present proof via EU Digital Certificate.

    Mandatory health pass for public activity

    Travelers are required to present a health pass to enter restaurants, hotels, etc. Travelers will need to show either a negative COVID-19 test result, proof of recovery from COVID-19, or proof of vaccination. Sinovac/Sinopharm vaccine certificates are not valid for entering hotels, restaurants, etc. within Austria. Please see the source for more details.

    Travelers arriving from selected countries with a valid vaccination certificate recognized by the Czech Republic are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result.

    Travelers arriving in the Czech Republic are required to fill out a passenger locator form.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers who are fully vaccinated in selected countries must present proof of vaccination via the EU Digital Certificate. Travelers are fully vaccinated after it has passed 14 days from receiving their second dose or 14 days in case of 1 dose vaccination. Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

    Czechia to The United States

    Masks are mandatory on public transportation

    Travelers must wear masks on public transportation in the United States. Some states still require the use of masks in public places, please verify the regional requirements before traveling.

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test resultsNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed no more than 3 days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary. If a traveler’s flight is at 1 pm on a Friday, the traveler could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Tuesday or after. Test results must include the traveler's full name and at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number. The test must also clearly state that the results are "negative," SARS-CoV-2 RNA not detected," SARS-CoV-2 antigen not detected," or "COVID-19 not detected." A test marked "invalid" is not acceptable. This requirement applies to all travelers, including US citizens, residents, and transit travelers, as well as travelers who have been vaccinated. Travelers may use a self-test (sometimes referred to as a home test) that meets the given criteria. Please check the source for more information. Some US states might have more strict rules regarding COVID-19 test types and where they must be administered. Please carefully review the rules before traveling to each state.

    Mandatory travel attestation form NEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must complete a travel attestation form before arrival. This form will be provided by the airline at check-in.
