    EF Go Ahead Tours currently requires that all tour participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must have proof of negative results for a COVID-19 test
    taken within 72-hours before departure. These requirements are in addition to any destination requirements listed below due to US Department of State and CDC guidance, the wellbeing of the group, and/or operational feasibility.

    Mandatory COVID-19 testing on arrival for vaccinated travelersNEEDED ON ARRIVAL

    Vaccinated travelers from selected countries must book a travel test package prior to travel to be tested on or before day 2 after arrival. Fully vaccinated travelers may book a COVID-19 antigen lateral flow device (LFD) test instead of a COVID-19 PCR for their ‘on arrival’ test.

    Fully vaccinated travelers do not need a negative COVID-19 test result to enter the UK. Travelers are considered fully vaccinated when they have been vaccinated by an approved vaccine administered by an approved authority.

    Masks are recommended in public

    Travelers are recommended to wear masks in crowded and enclosed public places where social distancing can not be maintained.

    Mandatory COVID-19 testing packageNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers from selected countries must book a COVID-19 testing package before their arrival in the UK. -Vaccinated travelers are required to take a single test on or before day 2 after arrival; -Unvaccinated travelers are required to take a test on or before day 2 after arrival, and on or before day 8 after arrival. Travelers staying in the UK for less than 2 or 8 days are still required to book the tests, even if they will no longer be in the UK on the dates of the tests. They only need to take the tests if they’re still in the country on those dates. Travelers may use a provider recommended by the UK government or use a provider of their choice while ensuring the test meets the outlined requirements. Fully vaccinated travelers may book a COVID-19 antigen lateral flow device (LFD) test instead of a COVID-19 PCR for their ‘on arrival’ test.

    Mandatory passenger locator formNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers, including transit passengers, are required to complete a public health passenger locator form online before departure to the UK. The form must be submitted a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in the UK. Travelers must show either a printed copy or an online copy of the form on their phone at the UK border.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers may prove they have received all doses of a vaccine using one of the below methods: -Vaccination certificate issued by NHS; -Vaccination certificates issued in EU countries or Switzerland with vaccines approved by the EMA; -Vaccination certificates issued in the USA with vaccines approved by the FDA. -Vaccination certificates issued from a relevant public health authority in selected countries. Additionally, travelers from the USA must show proof of USA residencies, such as a USA passport, visa, or Green Card. Mixing between two-dose vaccines (Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna) is also recognized. Travelers who cannot present a vaccination certificate under this criteria must follow the testing and quarantine rules for unvaccinated travelers. Travelers are considered fully vaccinated if they have had the final dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before the arrival date in the UK.

    All travelers, including those in transit through Ireland, must complete a passenger locator form a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Ireland.

    Travelers who are fully vaccinated must present a vaccination certificate showing that it has passed 7 days after the 2nd dose of Pfizer-BioNTech, 14 days after the 2nd dose of Moderna, 15 days after the 2nd dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca, 14 days after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson (Janssen). Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.

    Masks are mandatory on public transportation

    Travelers must wear masks on public transportation in the United States. Some states still require the use of masks in public places, please verify the regional requirements before traveling.

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test resultsNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed no more than 3 days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary. If a traveler’s flight is at 1 pm on a Friday, the traveler could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Tuesday or after. Test results must include the traveler's full name and at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number. The test must also clearly state that the results are "negative," SARS-CoV-2 RNA not detected," SARS-CoV-2 antigen not detected," or "COVID-19 not detected." A test marked "invalid" is not acceptable. This requirement applies to all travelers, including US citizens, residents, and transit travelers, as well as travelers who have been vaccinated. Travelers may use a self-test (sometimes referred to as a home test) that meets the given criteria. Please check the source for more information. Some US states might have more strict rules regarding COVID-19 test types and where they must be administered. Please carefully review the rules before traveling to each state.

    Mandatory travel attestation form NEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must complete a travel attestation form before arrival. This form will be provided by the airline at check-in.
