Day 1 - Rome
Today is free at leisure. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to the ruins of Pompeii.

Pompeii with Lunch
Travel to Pompeii for a guided tour of the famous ruins. Discover how Roman citizens lived 2,000 years ago, before Mount Vesuvius erupted in and smothered the town of Pompeii in a flood of volcanic ash. Visit the excavated ruins of theaters, villas, temples and baths. Lunch is included. Please note: Travel time to Pompeii is approximately 2.5 hours each way.

Day 2 - Rome
Enjoy another free day in Rome. Consider our optional excursion to the Roman catacombs and the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. This evening, join our optional Dinner with Tenors.

The Hotel Nord is a period building built in 1935 and has recently undergone a total renovation. Due to its central location in the heart of Rome near the Termini Railway Station, the many interesting sites in Rome - such as the Trevi Fountain, the Opera House, the baths of Diocletian and the new National Museum of Rome - are but a short walk away. All 157 rooms of Hotel Nord Nuova Roma on 7 floors have been completely soundproofed and beautifully furnished with the most up-to-date comforts, such as air conditioning, direct-dial telephones, mini-bar, and color TV. The hotel has preserved its unique 1930's-era style with marble and hardwood flooring and its many art deco and classical art prints.
