The 'Vic Falls' are the most beautiful waterfalls in Africa, if not the world. Located about 1000km from the source of the Zambezi River in western Zambia, the falls' towering column of spray when the river is high can be seen from over 20 km away, and the thunder of the falling water will take your breath away. Politically speaking, Victoria Falls is on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. You can visit the falls on both sides, but the Zimbabwean side is considered by many to be the more beautiful, with a direct sightline to the "Devil's Cataract" and "Rainbow Falls."
Please note: A visa is required for U.S. and Canadian passport holders to enter South Africa (and Zambia, on extension).

Day 1 - Johannesburg
Board an overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2 - Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Livingstone
Fly to Livingstone, Zambia, where you will take a guided tour of the Makuni Village. Home of the Leya people, Makuni Village offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the daily lives of the locals. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 4 - Livingstone
Visit Victoria Falls this morning on a guided tour. Both a World Heritage Site and a Natural Wonder of the World, Victoria Falls is the largest curtain of falling water in the world. Take a guided tour of Livingstone this afternoon, then opt to enjoy a Sundowner Cruise where you’ll cruise along Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.

Sundowner Cruise
Travel to the Royal Landing jetty on the Zambezi River, where you’ll board the African Queen. Cruise upstream along the length of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park looking for game along the way. A number of animals and a host of bird species can be viewed from comfortable chairs on your ship's cool wooden decks. Your cruise includes light appetizers, so sit back and enjoy meandering down the Zambezi.

Day 5 - Johannesburg
Transfer back to Johannesburg and meet the rest of your tour group today (Day 2 of the regular itinerary).

The Peermont Mondior hotel at Emperors Palace, furnished with contemporary elegance, gives modern needs meticulous care with high-speed Internet access in all public areas and rooms. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities as well as a mini fridge (stocked on request). All rooms have a walk-in shower and separate bath (with the exception of the paraplegic suites which offer a shower only). Each room also has a 20 inch flat screen remote controlled television showing selected D-STV (satellite) channels. Full laundry and valet services are also available.
Zambezi Sun Hotel / Livingstone / 3-4
Located inside Victoria Falls National Park, the Zambezi Sun Hotel features 212 spacious air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, in-room safe, coffee/tea facilities and a balcony. Hotel amenities include a bar and restaurant and a pool.
