As you cruise along Russia’s river, stop in ports to admire the individual chapels of St. Basil’s Cathedral that dominate Moscow’s skyline; visit the age-old town Uglich, famous for its clock and watch making; enjoy a guided tour of Goritsky, part of a circle of ancient towns referred to as the Golden Ring; and have a special early entry into St. Petersburg’s Hermitage museum.

Walking on tour:
This tour is a moderately paced, leisurely journey through the main cities and small villages of Russia, where the main attractions are easily accessible on foot. Be prepared for some medium- to high-level walking in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Your visits to the Kremlin, the Hermitage, Catherine’s Palace and Peter’s Palace can involve half days of walking through the elaborate halls and climbing sometimes steep steps. Pace yourself with rest breaks and make sure to advise your tour director and/or guide(s) of any walking difficulties.
