Day 1 - Paris
Today is free to discover Paris on your own. Alternatively, you may wish to join an optional excursion to Chartres, where you’ll visit the magnificent High Gothic Chartres Cathedral.

Chartres Cathedral
Enjoy an excursion to Chartres Cathedral, one of the greatest French Gothic cathedrals. As the spires first come into view, the cathedral seems to hover in midair above the surrounding fields. A local guide will introduce you to the delicate carvings that cover the cathedral’s facade, the gorgeous stained-glass windows and the labyrinth that unfurls under the cathedral’s soaring vaults. Enjoy time exploring the surrounding medieval town before your return to Paris. Please note: Chartres Cathedral is undergoing ongoing renovations. While touring the cathedral is still possible, there may be sections of the interior and/or exterior that cannot be fully viewed.

Day 2 - Paris
Enjoy a free day to explore the many wonders of Paris, or join our optional tour of Notre-Dame and the Marais.

Notre-Dame & the Marais
Your guided walking tour of Paris begins on Île de la Cité, the city’s legendary birthplace and home to the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral. Step inside the cathedral to admire the stained-glass rose windows and seemingly weightless vaulted ceilings. Walk along the flower market beside the island’s Palais de Justice, which houses the Conciergerie, the former prison where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned. Wander past the Hôtel de Ville, the city’s administrative heart, and continue through the Jewish Quarter to the gardens of Musée Carnavalet and Place des Vosges, noted as one of the prettiest squares in Paris. Lunch is included.

Day 3 - Paris
A Go Ahead representative accompanies you to the airport for your return flight home.

Villa Modigliani offers contemporary and comfortable accommodation enclosing a central courtyard and garden, giving guests a peaceful and tranquil ambience to return to after a busy days sightseeing. The elegant rooms are well-equipped to meet guest’s needs, and there are also several seminar rooms and a private car park with direct access to the hotel. Wi-Fi internet is also available at a small fee.
Extension is available on select departure dates, and space is limited. Please call early to hold your spot. Extension requires a minimum of 10 travelers.
