Look for azulejos, beautiful decorative tiles. Shops are open from 9am to 7pm during the week and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Most shops close for lunch (about 2-3 hours) and are also closed on Sundays. Good-humored bargaining is acceptable in many markets.
Spain
Look for ceramics, tilework, marquetry ware, Toledo swords, and embroidery. Shops normally open around 9am, close around 2pm for a siesta, then reopen from 4:30-8pm.
