Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Your trip begins with a regularly scheduled overnight flight to London aboard an internationally recognized airline.
Day 2 - London
Welcome to London! After clearing customs and collecting your bags, look for the Hotel by Bus Transfer desk. They will be providing your transfer to your hotel. Meet your fellow travelers at tonight’s included Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 - London
Embark on a panoramic sightseeing tour of London this morning. You’ll see Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the Tower of London, Big Ben, Parliament, Buckingham Palace and more. The balance of the day is free at leisure.

Day 4 - London
It was Samuel Johnson who said anyone “who is tired of London is tired of life itself.” There’s never enough time to take in all the wonders of Europe’s largest city, but you’ll have the chance to scratch the surface in the next few days. The British Museum houses an astonishing collection of antiquities, including the Elgin Marbles and the Rosetta Stone. For art, take in the exhibits at the National Gallery and the Tate Modern. Stroll through Kensington Gardens to view some of London’s most famous statues. Enjoy a taste of nostalgia at Pollock’s Toy Museum, an 18th-century townhouse displaying delightful toys of the Victorian era. Or, join our optional excursion to Stratford and the Cotswolds for a taste of life outside the English capital.

Day 5 - London
Enjoy another day at leisure in London. Perhaps you’ll delve into London’s literary heritage with a stop at the Dickens House Museum, or tour the newly reconstructed Globe Theater, a replica of where Shakespeare himself often appeared on stage. Alternatively, you might consider joining our optional excursion to Windsor Castle.

Windsor Castle
Led by a Blue Badge Guide, you’ll travel to Windsor for a guided visit to the world’s largest and longest-inhabited castle. Founded by William the Conqueror in 1070, Windsor has been the British Royal Family’s preferred retreat for the past 900 years. Step inside the State Apartments and St. George’s Chapel (closed Sundays), where the Knights of the Garter ceremony takes place. View the exhibit of royal treasures on display within the castle. You’ll then have time to stroll through the town of Windsor and have a look at Eton College, a prestigious prep school attended by Princes William and Harry. Please note: Windsor Castle is occasionally closed when in use by the Royal Family; a visit to Henry VIII’s Hampton Court will be substituted when necessary.

Day 6 - London
Continue to explore London at your own pace. For shoppers, a leisurely visit to Harrods—15 acres of tempting merchandise, ranging from silk scarves and soap to the world’s most meticulously decorated cakes—is a must. You may wish to join our optional excursion to Stonehenge and Bath.

Stonehenge & Bath
Visit Stonehenge, perhaps England’s most mysterious landmark. The origin and purpose of this ring of stones, which dates from the Neolithic period (about 4,000 years ago), is unknown, though most believe it to have been a temple and observatory. Then, continue on to the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, famous for its Georgian and Regency architecture.Your Tour Director will show you the town’s major sights, including the wonderfully preserved Roman baths for which the town is named.

Day 7 - London
On your final day in London, sample the city’s dazzling array of ethnic cuisine as well as ever-popular English pub fare. Take in a show or two in the West End, or, for more casual entertainment, simply watch the street performers at Covent Garden. On a tour of London’s famed churches, visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, globally renowned for its magnificent dome and glittering mosaics. While touring St. Paul’s Cathedral, explore the beautiful Whispering Gallery and discover its outstanding acoustics. Continue on to Westminster Abbey, located near the Houses of Parliament. London Eye & Pub Dinner
Glide through the London sky on the London Eyel. The world’s tallest observation wheel, the London Eye lifts its passengers 450 feet above the River Thames for a 30-minute ride in an enclosed gondola. Day 8 - Paris
This morning, transfer to St. Pancras Station. Here, you’ll board the Eurostar, Europe’s quarter-milelong, high-speed train that whisks its passengers below the English Channel and resurfaces in France. Relax aboard comfortable, state-of-the-art transportation, arriving at Gare du Nord in Paris just three hours later. Upon arrival, your Tour Director escorts you to your hotel.

Versailles
The reign of Louis XIV, known as the “Sun King,” set new standards for decadence among the crowned heads of Europe. It took 50 years and 35,000 workers to turn Versailles, once a small hunting lodge, into the most magnificent château in all of France and the envy of royalty worldwide. Also, tonight you may opt to partake in an Evening in Paris, a sumptuous dinner followed by a cruise along the Seine.

Evening in Paris

Paris also has a wide range of excellent art museums, and you’ll have plenty of time to visit them. First choice is usually the Louvre. At night, savor the best of Paris’ gourmet tradition, and take in some world-class entertainment at the cabaret. Alternatively, choose to join an optional tour of Notre-Dame and the Marais.

Notre-Dame & the Marais
Your guided walking tour of Paris begins on Île de la Cité, the city’s legendary birthplace and home to the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral. Step inside the cathedral to admire the stained-glass rose windows and seemingly weightless vaulted ceilings. Walk along the flower market beside the island’s Palais de Justice, which houses the Conciergerie, the former prison where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned. Wander past the Hôtel de Ville, the city’s administrative heart, and continue through the Jewish Quarter to the gardens of Musée Carnavalet and Place des Vosges, noted as one of the prettiest squares in Paris. Day 12 - Paris
Today is free to spend as you choose. You might choose a path towards the surreal today and take in the Picasso Museum in the quiet Marais district. You might also consider a climb to Montmartre, where you can watch artists painting the scenes of today. Be sure to lave eave time for a relaxing stop at an intimate café to sip café au lait and watch the world go by—one of Paris’ most celebrated traditions. Or, you could join an optional excursion to the magnificent Chartres Cathedral.

Chartres Cathedral
Enjoy an excursion to Chartres Cathedral, one of the greatest French Gothic cathedrals. As the spires first come into view, the cathedral seems to hover in midair above the surrounding fields. A local guide will introduce you to the delicate carvings that cover the cathedral’s facade, the gorgeous stained-glass windows and the labyrinth that unfurls under the cathedral’s soaring vaults. Enjoy time exploring the surrounding medieval town before your return to Paris. Please note: Chartres Cathedral is undergoing ongoing renovations. While touring the cathedral is still possible, there may be sections of the interior and/or exterior that cannot be fully viewed.
