Day 1 - Vienna

Pass through gorgeous Austrian countryside on your travels to Vienna. Enjoy a free afternoon to wander through the city’s elegant streets on your own.

Day 2 - Vienna

Today, join a guided tour of the Austrian capital. Travel down the Ring, a series of wide boulevards commissioned by Emperor Franz Josef in 1857. Ride past the Parliament, the flower-adorned Rathaus (Town Hall) and the Hofburg, where the powerful Hapsburg dynasty ruled until 1918. This evening, consider taking part in an optional a Traditional Viennese Heurigen Evening. At this optional event, you’ll take a ride on the Prater Ferris Wheel and dine at a local restaurant, where you’ll enjoy wine made by the people serving dinner.

Enjoy a scenic drive to the picturesque village of Grinzing, where you'll savor traditional Austrian heurigen cuisine in a cozy Old World setting. Heurigen are traditional restaurants that serve their own wine, and you'll enjoy a festive evening of food, drink and music. Then, take a ride on Vienna’s Prater Ferris Wheel, which offers a one-of-a-kind view of the city.

Day 3 - Vienna

Spend the day at your leisure. Take a stroll through Vienna’s pedestrian zone and stop at the Hotel Sacher for a its world-famous Sachertorte. Or board an optional river cruise along the Danube for views of medieval castles and picturesque villages and a stop in Dormstein.

Danube River Cruise

Embark on a leisurely cruise on the Danube. Your ship will take you through the Wachau Valley, home to age-old castles and picturesque villages. After the cruise, stop in Melk for a visit to Europe’s most beautiful Baroque monastery, an architectural wonder perched high atop a cliff. Please note: This excursion requires advanced reservation and runs from mid-April through October.

Day 4 - Vienna

This morning, a Go Ahead representative escorts you to the airport for your return flight home.
