Day 1 - Denver, Colorado

Arrive in Denver, Colorado, and check into your hotel.  At a Welcome Dinner this evening, meet your fellow family travelers.

Day 2 - Moab

Travel through the Rockies and across the Continental Divide on your way to Moab, passing through Vail, the famed ski resort, and stopping in one of the many charming mountain towns along the way for lunch before crossing into Utah’s canyon country. Arrive in Moab this evening in time for an included dinner!

Day 3 - Moab

This morning, take your family on our optional Colorado River Raft with the Family excursion. On this afternoon’s guided tour of Arches National Park, immerse yourself in the red rock sculptures carved by nature over the past 150 million years. See Delicate Arch, one of more than 2,000 arches, spires, domes, pinnacles and fins found in the park. Tonight, enjoy an optional Canyonlands by Night with the Family light show on the canyon walls of the Colorado River.

Canyonlands by Night with the Family Following the lights and shadows on the red rock canyon walls, you’ll hear a story about the formation, creation and history of the Moab area—a tale as fascinating as the ever-shifting colors in the canyon. Enjoy dinner before boarding a boat for a fascinating cruise through the ages, as you discover the passage of time etched on the Canyonland walls. Colorado River Raft Trip with the Famliy Take a leisurely rafting trip down a tranquil stretch of the Colorado River, where you’ll see some of the most majestic sights of the American West. You'lll float through Majestic Castle Valley and past the Fisher Towers during your time on the river. Though your raft will ride a current, you'll travel through the river’s mildest stretch. Please note: This optional requires advanced reservation and must be booked 20 days prior to departure. Special child price: $35

Day 4 - Kayenta

On your way to Kayenta, Arizona, pass through Monument Valley, which has served as the backdrop to countless Hollywood Westerns. Your family will stop for free time and lunch at Goulding’s Lodge, located at the base of towering red cliffs. This trading post-turned-lodge boasts panoramic views, a Native American restaurant and a museum that includes a real movie set from a John Wayne film. Later, continue on to Kayenta, Arizona.

Day 5 - Grand Canyon

Reach one of nature’s most alluring destinations, the Grand Canyon. First, you’ll be introduced to the history and glory of the Grand Canyon at the park’s IMAX theater. The Colorado River first began to flow over these rocks 17 million years ago! Today, the Canyon’s immense scale and vibrant colors make it one of America’s most famous national parks. Begin your family’s exploration of the canyon with this afternoon’s visit to the spectacular South Rim. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 6 - Grand Canyon

With the morning to explore the Grand Canyon at your leisure, consider a walk along the rim or hike down to a plateau. This morning, your family can soar over the canyon and take in breathtaking views during an optional Grand Canyon Helicopter Ride with the Family excursion. Then, enjoy a Tour Director-led sightseeing of the breathtaking Grand Canyon Park.

Grand Canyon Helicopter Ride with the Family Enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the Grand Canyon aboard a thrilling half-hour helicopter ride. Soar over the massive canyon, taking in a unique perspective on the striated terrain far below. From high above the Canyon rim, you can begin to fully appreciate the immense scale of this natural wonder. Please note: This excursion is weather dependent.

Day 7 - Phoenix, Arizona

Today, make your way to one of the warmest places in the country, Phoenix, Arizona. On your way, you’ll stop to scout out the Sonoran Desert on a tour led by authentic cowboy guides. The Sonoran Desert is home to the enormous saguaro cactus, the cheerful cactus wren, and the only jaguars in the United States. You’ll zip around in an open-air Jeep as your guides introduce you to some of the desert’s thousands of beautiful and unique species. After, continue on to Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse, where you’ll have free time to explore this 1860s Western town. You might wish to hop aboard the Desert Train or the Butterfield Stagecoach for a real Wild West treat. Enjoy a Farewell Dinner in Rawhide with your group before continuing to your hotel, located near the Phoenix airport.

Day 8 - Phoenix, Arizona

This morning, a Go Ahead representative escorts you to the airport for your return flight home.
