Greece:
Winters in Greece are generally mild and damp, but temperatures in Athens and in the mountains can get very cold. Summers are very hot and dry but the Meltemi wind from the northwest brings some relief.
Turkey:
The coasts have mild, damp winters and hot, dry summers. The southeast has dry winters and very hot summers. The Anatolian plateau is cooler, while the eastern mountainous region is much colder.
