A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra is a remarkable ancient city built into the rocks of Southern Jordan. Much of the city lies at the bottom of a 300 foot gorge, while some tombs are built on top of 1,000 foot mountains.
