Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Board an overnight flight aboard an internationally recognized airline for Prague.
Day 2 - Prague
Welcome to the Czech Republic! A Go Ahead representative greets you at the airport after you clear customs and escorts you to your hotel. Tonight, gather with your fellow travelers at an included Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 - Prague
Embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Prague this morning. You’ll explore the area known as Hradcany, or Castle Hill. Here you’ll find quaint homes, the ancient Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, an architectural marvel whose completion was delayed for nearly half a millennium. This afternoon is free to discover Prague on your own. You might choose to join our optional Walking Tour of Prague’s Jewish Quarter. First settled in 1501, Prague’s Jewish Quarter was once the center of Jewish intellectual life in Europe and served as a sanctuary for Jews who had been persecuted elsewhere.

Walking Tour of Prague's Jewish Quarter
Follow a local expert guide through the streets of Josefov, Prague’s Jewish Quarter, nestled between the Vltava River and the Old Town Square. See the remains of Prague’s former Jewish ghetto, devastated during World War II and oppressed during the Communist era. Pay a visit to three of the area’s synagogues as well as the Jewish Museum of Prague, which displays the names of all the Czech Jews who were sent to concentration camps. Along your tour, learn about the legendary Golem myth, a story forever entwined with Prague’s Jewish history. You’ll also see sights once frequented by Franz Kafka, the enigmatic author of The Trial and The Metamorphosis, who made his home in Prague. Lunch is included. Please note: This excursion involves extensive walking.

Day 4 - Cruise
Today, journey to Nuremberg, where you’ll board your river cruise ship and enjoy dinner on board. Your cruise will wind its way down the Danube, stopping in several notable ports along the way. At each port, you’re free to discover the town on your own or join optional shore excursions provided by the cruise operator, Luftner Cruises. (Please note: Shore excursions operated by Luftner Cruises are not included and can be purchased directly from the cruise line upon embarkation.)

Day 5 - Cruise
Your first port call is in the charming German town of Kelheim, where you’ll make a short stop and you might choose to visit the nearby Weltenburg Abbey, located on a picturesque bend in the Danube. Then, continue to Regensburg, arriving in time for an optional tour of the city’s Old Town.

Day 6 - Cruise
This morning, your ship pulls into Passau, a city at the confluence of three rivers. You’ll have the opportunity to wander through the narrow streets of this peninsular city on your own or on an optional excursion. This afternoon, cruise to Linz, Austria where you’re free to spend the balance of the day as you please or join an optional tour.

Day 7 - Cruise
This morning, your ship stops in the town of Melk, where you’ll have the option of joining an optional excursion to the ancient abbey overlooking the town. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Melk Abbey boasts one of the most extensive collections of monastic manuscripts in Europe. This evening, arrive in cosmopolitan Vienna, where you’re free to start exploring on your own.

Day 8 - Cruise
Your ship stays in Vienna today, allowing you a full day to explore the Austrian capital. You might venture to the famous Schönbrunn Palace, the beautiful Belvedere or the bucolic Prater Park. Indulge your sweet tooth with a delicious slice of Sachertorte from the Hotel Sacher, immerse yourself in a Viennese cafe or join an option excursion to discover more of this fascinating city.

Day 9 - Cruise
Today’s port call is Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. You’ll have a full day to explore the town on your own. Perhaps you’ll visit the ruins of Devín Castle or wander through one of the city’s many parks. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to take in Bratislava with the help of a guide.

Day 10 - Cruise
Your cruise concludes in Budapest, a grand city spanning both banks of the Danube. Once again, you’re free to join an optional sightseeing excursion or to explore on your own.

Disembark from your ship today. If you’re not staying in Budapest for the post-tour extension, a Go Ahead representative helps you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
