Day 1 - Fly to China

Board your overnight flight to China.

Day 2 - Beijing

Welcome to Beijing! A Go Ahead representative greets you after you clear customs and accompanies you to your hotel. Meet your fellow travelers at tonight's Welcome Dinner. (B in flight, D)

Day 3 - Beijing

Begin your China adventure with a guided sightseeing tour of Beijiing, which includes a stop at Tian’anmen Square, the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City. This afternoon, participate in a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. Tonight, you might enjoy indulging in one of China's culinary delights during an optional Peking Duck Dinner. (B, L)

Day 4 - Beijing

Continue your guided sightseeing tour of Beijing, with a stop at a Jade factory to see how Chinese artisans transform raw jade into the gorgeaus green harbingers of luck and prosperity. Next, climb the steps of the GReat Wall of China, one of the Ancient Wonders of the World, and enjoy time to explore the wall on your own. This afternoon, take an optional tour through the hutongs, the maze of ancient lanes and alleyways surrounding Beijing's Forbidden City. During your rickshaw ride through the hutong, you'll be able to interact with the locals and witness firsthand a disappearing way of life in Beijing. This evening, enjoy our optional kung fu show, the Legend of Kung Fu. (B)

Day 5 - Xi'an

Today, continue your discovery of Beijing during a tour of the Taiji Training Course at the Temple of Heaven, a Taoist temple. Enjoy lunch with your group before boarding your flight to Xi'an. After checking into your hotel, join your group for an included dinner of local delicacies. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - Xi'an

On today's tour of Xi'an, marvel at the Terracotta Warriors, an underground battle formation of 8,099 life-sized pottery warriors buried with Emperor Quin shi Huang. Next, visit the Shaanxi Province Historical Museum, the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the Temple of Great Goodwill. After an included lunch, try your hand at the ancient Chinese art of calligraphy during this afternoon's lesson. THis evening, opt to enjoy a Tang Dynasty Show and dinner. (B, L)

Day 7 - Shanghai

Continue to explore Xi'an this morning, visiting the city wall and the Islamic quarter. After lunch with your group, board a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, check in and settle into your hotel. Tonight, enjoy an optional dinner followed by a Chinese acrobat show. (B, L)

Day 8 - Shanghai
