Traveler Tips
When in Rio, you must find and try Brazilian Feijoada, a strong and delicious pork and black bean dish thought to have been introduced to the region by the Africans who were originally imported as slaves. Over the next 400 years, thanks to various improvements, it has become the national dish and can be found in many restaurants on Wednesdays and Saturdays for lunch. Don’t forget to wash it down with a caipirinha!
