Passport & Visa
In order to enter Brazil and Argentina, U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of your return. If you’re not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you must contact the Brazilian and Argentine consulates for your specific entry requirements. U.S. and Canadian citizens traveling within Brazil are required to carry a visa. We recommend that U.S. citizens use the application that arrives with your confirmation letter to obtain a visa through Zierer Visa Service (1-866-788-1100; www.zvs.com). Canadian citizens can contact Visa Connections (www.visaconnections.biz) to obtain a visa. If you opt to apply for your visa directly and require additional assistance and/or documentation from Go Ahead Tours, a special arrangements fee of $95 may be charged. In accordance with Argentine law a reciprocity fee must be paid upon entering the country. For US citizens the charge is $131 and is good for the life of your passport. For Canadian citizens the charge is $70 per person and is valid for 1 year. Upon arrival in Chile (on tour extension), travelers from the United States and Canada must pay a reciprocity fee of $131. This one-time charge is good for the life of the passport.
