Birdworld Kuranda One of the largest free-flight aviaries in Australia, Birdworld Kuranda is home to more than 500 species of colorful birds from around the world. With no barriers between you and the birds, the aviary provides a photographer’s dream.

Curtain Fig Tree An example of the power and unpredictability of nature, this tree’s amazing curtain effect results from a strangler vine growing along a leaning tree and dangling a complex pattern of vines 15 meters to the ground.


Alice Springs

In the heart of Central Australia, situated between the East and West MacDonnell mountain ranges, Alice Springs is Australia’s most well-known outback town. Famous for its vibrant personality, Alice Springs make the perfect base from which to explore the following:

Melbourne Museum A natural history museum located in the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, Australia. It shares these gardens with the Royal Exhibition Building. It is the largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere.

Gold Treasury Museum This beautiful 19th century building is testament to the gold rush fever that built Melbourne. It was used to store the gold and has also been the office of the Governor General, the Premier, the Treasurer, and the Auditor General. Today it houses the historic gold vaults; however, the Governor General still meets the Executive Council here to sign new legislation.

The Immigration Museum The Immigration Museum explores the stories of real people from all over the world who have migrated to Victoria. Located in the Old Customs House in the heart of the city, the museum re-creates the real-life stories of coming to Australia with a rich mix of moving images, personal and community voices, memories and memorabilia.
Jewish Holocaust Museum The Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Centre is an institution dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews who were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators between 1933 and 1945.

The Royal Botanic Gardens Recognized as one of the world’s finest botanic gardens, it houses over 10,000 species and 50,000 individual plants in the 38 hectare gardens, including trees and plants of great cultural value.

Sydney

Chinese Garden of Friendship Sydney is a great place for nature lovers. Located at the center of the hustle and bustle of the city, the Chinese Garden of Friendship was a gift from the Chinese sister city of Guandong and serves as a place of tranquility.

Bondi Beach If it’s beach time you’re after, Sydney is the place for you. There are a number of beautiful beaches located in Sydney; Bondi Beach is often regarded as one of the most beautiful. During the summer, this busy beach is filled with sun-basking locals and beach bums with surfboards. The shops and restaurants located nearby make spending an entire day at the beach hard to resist.
