Luxembourg boasts more Michelin stars per square mile than any other country. Most traditional dishes have peasant origins. Luxembourg’s alignment with both French and German culture translates into the country’s specialty foods such as gromperekniddelen (potato dumplings), Rieslingspaschtéit (meat and wine pie) and Quetscheflued (plum tart).
Belgian food ranks among Europe’s finest. Most of Brussels’ best restaurants are noted for their great seafood and French-style cuisine. Traditional Belgian foods include gaufres (the famous waffles), waterzooi (fish dish with a cream sauce), and frites (french fries). Do not forget to finish off your meal with a taste of renowned Belgian chocolate.
