excellent trip

We were met at the airport by our tour director Jurgen and from then on we enjoyed a deluxe bus, good hotels, good dinners. great daily hot breakfasts, and Jurgens helpful and lively commentaries; excellent local guides, A1 organisation--- great trip.

Great Tour Director!

The Tour was great. Actually would have preferred more time at the attractions. And less time being dropped off to go shopping. And my wife agrees! Jeurgin was the best tour director we ever had. I would go on any of your tours again if we could be guaranteed to have him on every trip! Very personable with every person on the trip. He made the trip fun! And again if we could have him every time I would go anywheres with him! He is that good!

Great Trip for First timers to Central Europe

Accomodations were great, but Tour Director Jurgen made it the trip to remember- pacing is fast, so this is not for the 'leisurely' traveler. However, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything!

Interesting

This is a tour for someone who is not able to plan his/her own trip to these countries. It included interesting historical aspects as well as particular cultural venues.

Dream Trip

I can't say enough about how wonderful this trip was! Our tour director, Paula was the best. We were a large group, but everyone enjoyed time spent together. There was a lot of laughter. The excursions were wonderful, especially Pt. Pilatus. We were even given a surprise trip down the Danube and a ride through the vineyards. The hotels were all comfortable and no air conditioning issue. Great trip and enjoyed letting someone else do the driving!

Wonderful All Round View of Central Europe

One of the top reasons my husband and I choice Go Ahead Tours was that the tour started at our local airport and we did not need to leave a day early etc. to meet flights. We, also, were impressed with the price. When checking with other travel groups you got the tour but then the flight abroad was additional. We liked the one price and knowing before the optional tours and their prices. In additon everything Go Ahead said they would do they DID. Whenever I called to ask a question the staff was friendly. I never felt I was a number, but a cherished traveler. Our tour guide, Paula, was the BEST of all. I feel we made a new French Friend. Thanks for a marvelous time!!!

Great experience

The cities we visited were wonderful, most largely undamaged by WWII bombing. The cities included Heidelberg, Lucerne, Innsbruck, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, with optional excursions to Bratislava and Budapest. The latter two are must visits. The tour director was outstanding and really knew her history. The palaces and cities are reflections of the Wittelbach (Bavaria) and Hapsburg rulers, and Americans are flabbergasted at the power and wealth these people held, and sometimes abused. I was very impressed with the Alps, much more so than I expected. The excursions to Hitler's Eagle Nest (a mountain top near Salzburg) and the top of Mt Pilatus (Lucerne) are a must. Dinners provided by the tour group at our hotels were disappointing. My best meal was at an Italian restaurant in Lucerne. While in Germany, eat at a Biergarten, not only for the atmosphere, but the food is good too. There was only one hitch in the tour. Go Ahead didn't provide enough time to get through immigration on our return to the US and make the connection to our domestic flight. They allowed 1.5 hours. We didn't make it.

Great Trip

We visited Germany, Switzerland and Austria and had a great time. Having Paula and the Go Ahead team behind us made the trip extra special. We were really taken care of. From landing to leaving, in good hands. I loved all the history and beauty we discoverd on the trip. Seeing the Alps and all the historic towns makes this trip extra special. We look forward to our next adventure.

Amazing culture experiences!

This tour was amazing on so many levels! The tour director was knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. Paul provided personal accounts and historical information about the area and coordinated extra excursion experiences that further enhanced our vacation. Overall, the hotels were located in centrally convenient areas of the cities to transportation, restaurants and other sightseeing adventures, not to mention all the shopping my little group had the opportunity to do! Our fellow travelers that we met on the tour became a great memory of this trip as well. The optional excursion to Mt Pilatus was just one of the highlights of the trip.

This was the best tip I have gone on in 20, years. The guide was and expert on ever thing , he cared for us and met our every neeeds.I hope that if I travel again that he would our tour gide. GO AHEAD also meant my needs as well. and I will tell all friends about it. I have1500 folks on face book and I always tell them to trip with GO Ahead, thak you for the fun filled trip.
