now i KNOW the color green!

Amazing scenery! Loved each of the walks. This was probably my favorite Go Ahead trip because it felt more like an experience and not just a history lesson.

Great time!

Ireland was everything I anticipated and more; lush green pastures bisected by stone walls, music, pubs, friendly folks, and even thatched cottages. Our tour director offered us some excellent additions to the published itinerary. Thanks Mike.

Walking Tour of Ireland

We had a great time. The countryside was beautiful! The rooms were different than we were used to in the states, but I guess that depends on the value of the American dollar. This was a very active trip with lots of options which was really nice. This was our first tour and we can not wait to book our next trip. Our tour guide was extremely well versed in Irish history and in some instances made history come alive with his stories. Our bus driver was top notch in some very "interesting" driving situations. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Ireland trip

The country is beautiful and we enjoyed the tour. The downside is the difference in electricity, they operate on 220 and even with the converters some appliances don't work. Accomidations are different, single beds in some rooms and poor lighting. The USA is far in advance with day to day living. We had an excellent guide (Mike James) and driver as well (Tom).

Walking through a postcard

I went on the walking tour of Ireland and had a great time. The pace was perfect and it had everything... great views, outdoors' time, a little food & drink time, a good group and friendly natives. Mike James is an excellent Tour Director. I loved seeing the national parks it was like walking through a postcard.

fun and Interesting

Really was enjoyable. Mike James was a very good tour guide. He related well with everyone. He spent time with everyone. The tour was great - we liked seeing four of the national parks. The walks were so much fun. The regional tour guides were so knowledgeable.

Wonderful trip and so well organized.

The walking tour of Ireland was all I had hoped for. We saw so many beautiful places and our tour guide was so knowledgable of the country that he was able to give us a lot of good information at each location. The accommodations were nice and I felt the entire tour was very well organized. Would recommend Go Ahead Tours from this experience and hope to travel with you again.

intro to Ireland

This was an enjoyable bus tour with lots to see and plenty of free time to relax or see more of each town. Individuals could choose how much to walk or hike on most stops. The scenery was amazing and green, green, green. I would do it again and recommend the trip to others.

Awesome Ireland!

We were a small group (12) doing the Walking tour of Ireland last October and it was exciting from the moment we landed in Shannon! Our hotel in Galway was so convenient to the city sites, pubs and shops and that was true of our stays in Killarney and Blarney. as well. We hiked to the mountain top in Connemara National Park , to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher, around a lake in the Killarney National Park, ( with two beautiful Irish setters and an Irish tenor), strolled the beaches on the Dingle Peninsula, a fabulous walk thru the woods to Glengarriff (the pub lunch of Soda bread and Soup of the day with a pint of Guinness will be remembered for a life-time), to Garnish Island, and the reason so many people go to Ireland, the visit to Blarney Castle to kiss the Infamous Blarney Stone! Our last night in Ireland was a rowdy feast at Bunratty Castle--not to be missed--with the food, fun and frivolity !! I would return to Ireland in a heartbeat, it is that much fun!
