Too much free time

My main complaint was that there was too much free time. I'm not a shopper. I don't want to spend the afternoon at the beach. I want the opportunity to sightsee (with guidance) as much as possible while I am in any particular country. Our tour director was excellent but the tour had limited optional activities.

Lisbon, Seville & Madrid

A fabulous tour. We travelled in November and the weather was perfect, the lines - non existent - and the tour director and accomodations were fabulous.

Lisboa, Sevilla and Madrid

We arrived to enjoy the "delicious fish" of Lisboa's waters and the old town area, Alfama and Rossio Square! Sintra's hillside atomosphere was as fantastic as any European town we have visited in the last 10 years! Sevilla was charming with its flamenco dancing and a tour of the bull ring should never be missed! Cordoba's Cathedral Mosque and the reconstructed Roman bridge were an awesome site to behold! The Royal Palace, the Prado Museum and eating @ the restaurant “Los Galayos" were highlights of our stay in Madrid! Our TD was fantastic - this "makes" a trip!

Great Tour...Loved it!!

The Spain & Portugal tour that I had this summer was wonderful! We visited prominant historical sites at the scheduled locations and we always had knowledgeable tour guides to inform us of the interesting background each place has. The hotel accomodations were of quality standards (very comfortable) and centrally located for the days we explored on our own. Our tour director was great & always helpful. Both Spain & Portugal are amazingly beautiful! I totally enjoyed the whole experience!!

Traveling with close friends, we're still friends!

This was the first time we've ever travelled abroad with friends. We weren't sure how the whole "group" experience would be. For our purposes, the cadence of the trip was practically perfect. With each Iberian city we visited, we enjoyed a travel day, then a touring day with the group, and then a day on our own to explore our own interests. Comfortable hotels, with a dinner provided at the end of each travel day and a hearty breakfast each morning, the tour kept us fueled for our adventures. The pacing of the trip was both restful and challenging. Especially helpful was our attentive tour guide who made sure we were informed and comfortable on the trip. Not only was he attentive to the details of the tour, he went beyond the call of duty fo facilitate our our extra-curricular activities, like metro advice and high-speed trains to unscheduled destinations and special events like a bullfight, flamenco and the best places to eat. Extending our stay in Madrid was great.

LisbOn Seville, Madrid tour was a great combination of modern meets old. Lisbon was inspiring. To think the discovery of the Americas originated in Belem.....Seville and tapas will not be forgotten and the Prado in Modern Madrid was breathtaking. Our guide got us bullfighting tickets. Front row. A real cultural eye opener! Go, eat and be inspired!

A Great Experience

My trip to Lisbon & Spain was wonderful most especially attributed to the great tour director that we had. It just wasn't enough time to explore like I wanted to but overall the trip was fantastic. The tour director was informative and chose extra things for us to do. The optional tours were great also.

Libson, Seville & Madrid

mmmmm...tapas! Loved this tour! We got up early and toured each city, ate tapas for lunch, and then took a siesta in the late afternoon before heading out to a late dinner. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and exploration. The hotels were nice. The bus rides let us view the countryside as we made our way to the next city. And our tour guide was muy bueno!!

A Great Experience - Lisbon, Seville and Madrid

Go Ahead does it again. I have traveled on five Go Ahead tours, the last four with a friend. Lisbon, Seville and Madrid was a spectacular tour. The countries are beautiful, the cities alive with life, vibrant wih people and sites to see. Our guide, Luis, is one of the best, and believe me, they have all been excellent. We especially liked Seville, a colorful and historic city. So much to do and so little time, but with Luis we packed a lot in.
