Excellent tour director, great trip

Other than missed two connecting flights, this trip has been great.

Too much free time

The guide did not give clear cut suggestions concerning free time. The travelers were essentially on their own. Most local guides(women) were boring and inaudible. The countries were fantastic and interesting.

Lisbon, Seville, and Madrid

This trip will be one of my most memorable. The trip was rich with culture, history, and experiences. From the food and fashion, to the night life and history, I was in awe. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was very patient and happy to answer all of our groups questions. I would fully recommend this trip. We went in December and the weather was still delightful enough to go on walking tours and enjoy the night life.

An Iberian Adventure

It sounded like a good idea--a father-son trip to Portugal and Spain, but it turned out to be a GREAT idea. The beauty of the country was expected but the exotic nature of the locations was a surprise. Each leg of the trip was a heightening of the joy of discovery and a revelation as to the sheer friendliness of the people. If I had to describe the trip in one word, it would be "color." A swirl of color that caught us up and took us ever higher. It was a delicious meal that only left us hungrier. When does the next tour leave?

First visit to Europe, an unforgettable experience

I will definitely travel with Go Ahead Tours over and over again, why, because they are unbeatable in service, comfort and a great experience that lives on. This was my first trip to Portugal, Seville and Spain I loved it. Our guide Marcello was exemplary and made everything so smooth and effortless that vacationing was just marvelous! Three cheers for Marcello! There were however some parts that could be improved which has completely to do with the choices of hotel in Spain and Portugal. The hotel in Portugal was too far removed from everything and could have been closer to the sights and in the middle of things. Madrid's hotel although in the middle of everything the room was disappointing. What was just mentioned did not over shadow my experience because the excursions, group and tour director was outstanding! I look forward to returning to Spain and all the places on my list and it's a very long list! =) Thank you Go Ahead.

Lisbon, Seville and Madrid

A wonderful tour. Our Tour Director Marcello Mazza was the best - he took care of every detail, was extremely knowledgeable about the entire area and was friendly and personable. Accommodations were located in places where you could walk and get a feel for the cities. The trips to Sintra, Cordoba and Cassais were very enjoyable. I loved it all - Flamenco show, fado show, Prado (Picasso and Dali!), etc. The tour was a must and the free time allowed everyone to explore the wonderful sites! Highly recommended.

Spain's History is amazing

Spain's Catherdrals and Palaces were the most magnificent we've seen anyplace we've travelled in Europe. The history of Spain is the most interesting account of how a country has evolved.

Wonderful Trip

I have to give this tour 5 Stars. The hotels were better than expected, and the service was great. Our tour guide was the best. He made for a very professional and organized tour at all time. Marchello is an asset to your company and he should be recognized for a job well done.

Excellent trip!

Overall we had another excellent experience with GoAhead. First and foremost, our tour guide--Marcello Mazzo?--was better than excellent. I have always found your tour guides very good, but Marcello really was the best yet. He was extremely friendly and cheerful, highly-organized, and . . . more below. We were disappointed that all excursions beyond Sintra were cancelled. But--here's where Marcello really stepped up--Marcello helped us brain-storm our alternatives: how we could visit those locales on our own, or what we could do in lieu of the cancellations. He even assisted personally in helping us with transportation--traveling with us to the train station to get tickets for Segovia. We really appreciated that, and those experiences became some of our most memorable. Hotels: very good. Meals: good. City guides: I liked the informative overview of just one artist at the Prado—I came away feeling like I’d learned a little bit about art, rather than my usual feeling of being over-whelmed and under-educated. Bus driver: excellent. Airline: not so great. US Airways. The seating was as uncomfortable as I’ve ever experienced. No leg-room (I am 5’9 and not overweight; my knees touched the seat in front of me, and the tray-table cut into my stomach.) On the bright side, each of the four legs of the journey left and arrived on schedule. We will definitely travel with GoAhead again: Scandanavia? Austrailia/New Zealand? Biking in Holland?
