Great Tour- Far exceeded my expectations!

I took this trip as a 35th birthday present to myself, and as a first time traveler to Europe, this trip far exceeded my expectations. The accomodations were all great. I particularly liked our hotel in London since it was just a stone's throw away from the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. The hotel staff were also very courteous and helpful, they even managed to get us discounted tickets to a West End play. Our hotel in Paris, while not located in the greatest area offered a magnificent view of the Eiffel tower and the Sacre Couer from the rooftop of the building. It was also within walking distance of the Moulin Rouge and Montmarte which is were artists like VanGogh lived. Our hotel, in Rome was also very nice, there's two gellaterias right down the corner so what's not to like. The tour is a perfect balance, providing you the opportunity to explore the city on your own while also giving you an in-depth history of the cities through the guided tours. Our group has been very fortunate to have Pascal as our tour director, He was very informative and helped us make the most of our trip by giving us suggestions for places to go, where to eat and how to get there. His passion for his job is very contagious. Though he has been doing this for 17 years, his enthusiasm for talking about the cities we visited felt like he, like us, was also seeing them for the very first time. He was very patient and taught us how to use the Metro and took us to the Louvre musuem and the Notre Dame Church in Paris. In Rome, he took us to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Pascal was also generous with his time and managed to connect with each & everyone in our group. My sister & I were also very lucky to be part of a group where everybody has been so nice and friendly. It made this trip even more memorable . We've made new "huggle" friends during this trip. (a big shout out to you guys!) This trip will always be very special to me. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Graduation Gift

This was a graduation gift for my daugther. Tour - London, Paris, Rome (6-15-12 to 6-25-2012) Our group is compose of family with young teens, young adults, couples and mature adults, a very good mixed of people, that we enjoyed everyones company. Our group is actually AWESOME!!! We all get along well, our mens are very helpful and help look out for the group. The 11 days is enough to explore the 3 cities. The tour was well organize, we have free days to explore the cities by ourselves.We enjoyed taking the "underground" and "double decker" in London, the "metro" and bus in Paris. Unfortunately, we were advise not to use them in Rome for our safety reason - in the Metro, no a/c for bus (it was above 90 degree when we were in Rome). So we use taxis in Rome. The hotels in London and Paris are very close to public transportation and tourist sights which is very convenience. Not in Rome though, it's in a residential area. But all the hotels we stayed are excellent, nice, clean. Our dinners with the group, are all excellent too. nice foods. The local tour guides are all knowledgeable, drivers all courteous. But most of all, we have the BEST tour director PASCAL WILSON. He did above and beyond with his call of duty. He gives us tips, advises of places to go, how to use the public transportations and his times. He is AWESOME!!! I can't ask for a better tour guide. So, future travelers, if you get Pascal Wilson as your tour guide, you are in luck as you will be in good hands. As a whole, this trip is very memorable for me and my daughter, I will always cherish this moment with her, money will spend !!! Worth it !!! Yes, I will plan another trip with GO AHEAD TOUR. and I will recommend it to anyone. Our group, you know who you are, it was a pleasure to meet you and to be with you all in this trip.

London, Paris & Rome

July 5, 2012 - My husband and I have just returned from this excursion. It was our first visit to Europe so we were a little apprehensive going in. After researching our various options I selected to book with Go Ahead. I am so glad that we did! Our tour guide, Suzy Madge, was wonderful. She was so organized and met with her group daily, even on free days to recommend sights or restaurants that matched our interest. The trip went beautifully. The accommodations (Mercure Montemarte) were comfortable and clean. During our time in Paris we ate at a guaint restaurant near the hotel, it was reasonably priced, the staff speak broken English, were very welcoming and served delicious French cuisine, The Green Parrot (Le Perroquet Vert) Activity level is based on desire - ours was busy! FIRST TOUR EVER

Had a fabulous trip , and couldn't have had a better guide!! I was with two sisters and a friend , in very early 70's so the pace was somewhat tiring at times and the heat in Rome didn't help. Pompei & Naples was the least fovorite option . did Florence on our own and that would be a better option in my opinion. Rooms were great , food fantastic , and sites were unforgetable!

Amazing Tour

We had an amazing time on this trip! It was our first time ever being in Europe and this was the perfect way to do it. Our Tour Director was so knowledgeable and hilarious! She was the best and we will request her in the future. The hotels used were slightly inconvenient in location as they were not central to the city and it took time & money to travel to various locations on our free days. However, the hotels were clean, roomy, and pleasant to stay in! Thank you!

London, Paris, Rome

I had traveled with EF as a student, teacher, and Group Leader, and was accustomed to the fast-paced, action-packed schedule of "do everything you can and sleep when you get home." While I love that expectation for students, I really enjoyed the regular free time that the Go Ahead tour included. Our tour guide was very efficient in helping everyone scout out their desired destinations for free time, and it was so enjoyable to be able to explore the cities on my own while knowing that my accomodations and travel were securely arranged. I had a fabulous trip and can't wait to travel again!

Great Trip

What made this trip so successful was our tour leader Shouna (?) not sure I spelled her name right, but she was the best. Because of her I shall most definitely go on another tour with her. London was great as was Paris and Rome. Could have had some cooler weather in Rome but that was not your fault. Room accomodations were very good as were the beds. I had been to all these cities before - like 50 years ago - so it was rather special to visit them again. Thanks to all who worked on this tour. Only thing that did not work was the ekit phone service. Wound up using my own cell phone. Again - thanks to all who worked on this trip.

Great Vacation

It was the first time my daughter and I traveled abroad and we had a wonderful time. Our tour director, Shona, made our trip very relaxing. She handled the details so we could enjoy our time touring each place. She provided us with culture 'cheat sheets' for each country. We found these to be very helpful for each country.

great for single female traveler

I was concerned about traveling solo, but was welcomed into the group of 40 immediately. Our tour director, Shona Finnie was wonderful. She was fun, knowledgeable and always full of energy. I will definitely use Goahead Tours for my next trip.

A Trip of a Lifetime

My tour was to London, Paris and Rome. We had a wonderful time. The tour leader was fabulous and helpful. The tour had the right amount of free time and scheduled tours. We signed up for some excursions such as Versailles, evening in Paris, Windsor Castle, the Vatican, and Pompeii. All the excursions were well organized and very informative. It also got you out of waiting on lines. The tours of each of the cities were great because it gave you an overview and then you could choose what you wanted to go back to. We used the trains and buses in all the cities. People in all the cities were very nice. The people on our tour were all very nice and friendly. We also went to see a show in London and Moulin Rouge in Paris. Both were fabulous. We extended our tour in Rome for 2 days and had a different tour leader and he was wonderful also. It was only a few of us so he gave us a walking tour of the Jewish Ghetto and some other places in Rome. It was an experience I will never forget and I would recommend it highly with this tour group. I was very pleased with everything.
