Highlights of Japan

This was a very well planned tour of the three major cities in Japan: Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. Our tour guide was experienced and knowledgeable, people were friendly, sights were wonderful.

It wasn't my first pick!

I promised my son a trip anywhere he wanted to go in world for his 14th birthday. I thought he would pick Greece or maybe Italy...but he chose Japan. I have a pretty long travel list but Japan wasn't on it. And now? I can't wait to go back! We had the most amazing time. Our tour director was wonderful in helping us understand the culture and traditions. Now we are both learning Japanese in preparation for our next trip!

Great Introduction to Japan

Our Japan trip was a great value. The itinerary gave us a good blend of historical and current cultural experiences. There was plenty of independant time to explore Kyoto and Tokyo. The Go Ahead guide was helpful and knowledgable. The legth of the trip was perfect. We would highly reccomend it for an introductory tour of Japan.

Great itinerary to visit Japan

We enjoyed the overall view of Japan. Not only the historical temples and shrines, but contemporary Japan. We felt extremely safe in Japan. Everyone was freindly and polite. The country is extremely clean and well organized.

Japan for children of WWII veterans

The tour was extremely pleasant. I got a sense of Japanese personas by watching interactions between the people we saw as we moved about. (perhaps too simplistic, like chatting up a NYC cab driver to understand New York and America). The tour guide was fluent in idiomatic English and savvy with our views (had traveled to U.S.). Our days were filled with interesting sites to visit, but there was enough free time to wander. Felt very safe and comfortable everywhere. Highly recommended for viewing different solutions to day to day activities (ATM's, toilets(bidets and more), wet naps for pre meal wash up, bowing to greet, fastidiousness of taxis, facile subway system). I would go again on the same trip with all the same amenities and enjoy it just as much. There were plenty of things I could have spent more time with.

Best Tour Ever

I would do it again in a heartbeat From going to Mount Fuji to visiting the Pearl Divers to traveling the Ginza Tokyo District to all the various shrines. There was not one thing I would change. For anyone who would love to see what Japan has to offer this is the tour for them.

Beautiful Japan

Simply stated - the flight is worth it. Japan more than makes up for the time it takes to get there. The hotels on this trip were incredible - modern, clean and in great locations. I highly recommend considering the optional to Hiroshima. It's a full day, but well worth it...the ride on the high speed bullet train is an experience in and off itself! The meals were fantastic! Vegetarians & non-sushi lovers should not be scared off. Each included dinner we tried something new and there was always something for everyone. Our Tour Director was extremely organized and had answers to every question we could come up with. Japan is a country steeped in tradition and yet on the cutting edge of modern technology. It's a fascinating country; rich in history and not to be missed!
