A Spiritual Experience
Whenever I think back on our trip to Japan, a sense of peacefulness and tranquility fills me. Not only were the temples, shrines, and castles amazing, the people of Japan left a great impression. The hospitality and respect that we were shone will always have a place in my heart. Some of the shrines we visited had such an aura of calm and peace that it made me long for that simplicity when I returned to the United States.
Hightlights indeed
This tour is very properly called highlights of Japan. There is an activity for everyone! Love nature? This tour is for you! Love trying new, amazing food? This tour is for you! Want to learn about the culture of Japan? This tour is for you! Want to see the busy cities of Japan? This tour is for you! This tour gives just the right amount of guidance and freedom, keeping you busy but not too busy and letting you explore on your own if that is what you want, but not so long that if you don't want to be alone. And our guide was amazing! Very sociable and knowledgeable. If I could redo my first trip to Japan, I would definitely not change anything!
Japan Trip
Great Family Experience
Exceptional value and exciting family vacation with knowledgeable guide who helped make this a wonderfully great experience.
Memorable visit to Japan with my family
My husband and I always promised our kids that we would take them to Japan and this year, the timing was perfect. It was wonderful seeing our two children and our daughter-in-law interact with all the other people on our tour. Highlights were going to Hiroshima (my dad's family was from there), seeing Mount Fuji (perfect weather for it), the Miho Museum and the hot springs baths. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and it was so great to share this with our children.
Wonderful trip for adults
The trip was exactly as advertised. There was just enough guided activities and free time. There was just enough physical activity and not too much bus riding. The tour guide kept you entertained with her narratives and visual aids. The people in Japan are wonderful. They are so polite and keep their opinions of inappropriate behavior to themselves. The hotels were all five-star to me, a hillbilly from Arkansas. The dinner service was amazing since we are not usually around waiters who know how to wait. The scenery was magnificient especially since Mt. Fuji was not cloud-shrouded as usual. Even the guide had to scream over that and woke up everybody on the bus. The cross-section of Japanese culture made you want to see more. I'm talking about the tea ceremony, Kabuki theater, pearl divers, etc. To me the hightlight of the trip were the elderly pearl divers and their meal and the younger ones actually performing their craft. I really wish I had bought more pearls. The shrines were wonderful and learning about the Shinto religion was fascinating. I think I've reached the max.
First TIme Japan

Japan a Country of Contrasts
The Japan Tour was well organized to give the group a look at traditional japanese observances to include shinto weddings at shrines and to see the pulsating life of tokyo. Witnessing the observance shown by the japanese at various shrines visited gave insight into the japanese mentality. the museums visited on the tour were fabulous. For me the trip to Mount Fugi was one of the highlights of the tour
