Spain is under-rated in the travel world

Great guide and wonderful itenirary. Nice hotels and good travel pace. This was my 2nd trip to Spain and continue to think it is the loveliest of countries in which I have spent time.

Great Trip!

This was a wonderful trip! I was impressed with how well organized it was. Our tour guide was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for more! Nothing was left to chance. I personally had an experience which was dealt with immediately and rectified to my satisfaction. I was very impressed and happy. It could have spoiled my experience but because it was dealt with so well, it just became a minor incident. I was very happy with this trip and would not hesitate to go with go ahead tours again.

Very educational

Over all the trip was good. Our tour director [Carmen] was excellant. She was very knowlegeble about Spain and creative when things did not go as planned. If I would make one suggestion, I would change how the tour got from Granada to Valencia. The trip was way too long. I would have preferred to travel by train and spent more time in Valencia. The hotel accomadations on the whole were good. Some were better than others.

Awesome Tour

This tour simply exceeded our expectations. We learned a tremendous amount about Spain's history and culture; and, we experienced its great beauty and art. Much of this was due to our tour director, Luis Garcia. He is the epitome of a tour director: knowledgable, informative, energetic, helpful, witty and humorous. I'd take a tour anyplace with him. Pace was ambitious but manageable - resulted in our covering more sights and beautiful places than we ever thought possible in two weeks on the ground. Spain is more impressive than we had imagined, and we now believe it has surpassed much of Europe as a "must do" destination. Highlights: everyplace (especially Seville, Valencia, Costa de Sol), food, beauty (mountains, Mediterranian coast), kind culture of Spanish people. Second thoughts: optional tour to Morocco - too much time spent in the Medina. Spanish tour buses - no bathrooms on board.

Grand Tour of Spain

I loved Spain--so different from the rest of Europe. Our guide was really excellent at bringing it all to life, i.e. lots of history but interspersed with good stories and anecdotes. It was definitely a walking tour, with lots of uneven/cobbled/rocky terrain--not a problem for us but difficult for some of our tour members. Go Ahead is great!

Grand Tour of Spain was "Indeed Grand"

We were very pleased with the pre-tour communications. It was done in a timely and professional way, We had all the information we needed prior to take off. We can not say enough about our Tour Director, Laura. She was very pleasent, organized, informative, efficient and very approachable during every phase of the trip.She paid attention to every detail. The itinerary was exactly what we were looking for and did not disappoint. The hotels were centrally located or at least close to the metro etc.The restaurant choices were good except for the dinner buffet in Granda.

Spain Experience

April was probably the best time to tour Spain and we enjoyed all of the great weather. The trip was very fast paced even with the ample free time to revisit places of interest along the way. We felt emersed in the Spanish culture from the time we stepped off the plane in Madrid until we got back on the return plane in Barcelona. Each stop along the way was exciting and gave us a glimse into the history of Spain. The food could not have been better and we felt it was a good example of local cuisine. Each local tour was very interesting and I am not sure how they could be improved. The pride that each tour guide displayed while informing us of therir areas of interest was an important highlight of the tour. Thank you very much for a very pleasant experience.

From the scenery to the people all were wonderful

The grand tour of Spain was....just grand!!

The grand tour of Spain's name says it all. It covers several cities and highlights of Spain's main attractions. We moved six times but consistent with Go Ahead's great logistics, transit from one city to another was easy and comfortable. We have traveled with Go Ahead now three times and their primary asset is their tour guides, each has been informative, friendly, and energetic.

Great trip!

This was our first tour. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We saw much more than we would have seen on our own. The accommodations were excellent. Our tour guide was the best, she was knowledgable, friendly and kept everything fun and organized. There was enough free time for us to explore on our own or join the friendly people we met on the tour. We are a couple in our middle 60's and are looking forward to our next trip with Go Ahead Tours.
