Wonders Of Ancient Israel
Tour was as stated with good iteneray flexibility to accomodate weather and Shabbat times (Friday's in Jerusalem). Tour operator's very friendly and strong on historical both past and present regarding areas of interest. Alot of walking and stairs, bring good comfortable shoes, pack an umbrella if November/December travel, and plenty of batteries and film or SD cards for digital cameras. Petra/Masada/Jerusalem/Sea of Tiberias was absolutely wonderful in person. Israeli shekel exchange fair at this time, Jordanean dinars are equivelant to the euro (ouch). Be prepared to cover costs of beverages in Jordan even if meal is provided. No issues with Palestinean border crossings, people (Israeli/Arab) friendly. Definately a bucket list and trip of a lifetime.
Trip of a Lifetime
This was a trip of a lifetime for me. A trip I will never forget. I was very impressed with Go Ahead Tours. The web site was full of information, as well as customer service. They made planning the trip so much easier. We had a very informative tour guide and very helpful bus driver. Any future trips like this will definitely be booked with Go Ahead Tours.
Greatest Trip Of My Life
Our tour was more than I ever expected. This was my first trip overseas, so I was very apprehensive about the whole experience. Once we landed in Tel Aviv, my fears vanished and we had a wonderful time. This tour was filled from morning till night with sight seeing , history, and a wealth of information. Loved the whole trip and would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in Biblical History and prior era times. It was Great. Thank You
Something for everybody
My husband and I enjoyed the trip. We have totally different likes and dislikes and there was lots for both of us to enjoy.
Fantastic tour and tour director, Miky Horesh.
One of the most amazing trips we have ever taken. Miky Horesh, the tour director in Israel, was fantastic: extremely knowledgeable, well-connected, highly organized and the friendliest task-master ever, he efficiently packed an unbelieveable amount of touring into each day, and every day we were anxious to get back on the bus after breakfast for more. He tied all of the sites from the Old and New Testament into one cohesive story of the shared history of Judaism and Christianity, in a highly educational and extremely moving way. The Jordan add-on portion was also a do-not-miss, especially Petra (caveat: beware the Petra by Night walk, if there is any chance of rain, although surviving the flash flood in the Siq is certainly a story you can dine on for months).
Great tour
I had a wonderful time. Hannah was a super guide and shared so much information with us. We covered so much but it was worth it. Not only did I have a wonderful time but I learned so much. Muhammed was also a great bus driver. He was friendly and warm. He also did little things to help us. The tour was one of the best I have been on and I usually go with Collette.
I Would Do It Again
The trip was beyond all expectation. My husband and I left New York anticipating a wonderful vacation. But we were led on a cultural and spiritual journey that will stay with us forever. It wasn't just the sights...it was our guide, Miky. Miky Horesh , with his immense knowledge, humor, enthusiasm and caring,he guided us through an archeological wonderland. He introduced us to his country. As a group we were well versed and well trained. We were Miky's Brigade! And we would do it all again.
Spectacular!!!
Our trip to Israel was fantastic. The country is beautiful, the people are great and the historic sites are mind-blowing. It was a physically challenging trip, but well worth the effort. Our guide, Hana, was full of interesting information. I highly recommend this trip.
Holy Land and History ! The best
I had many high lights, and the only low light was long bus trips. Maybe a little more planning on the routes taken would shorten the rides. Over all great trip!
We loved Israel
One of the best trips of our life. A must see and do tour!
