Most beautiful place in the world
A week in Ireland is the perfect entry into your experience of Ireland. It allows you to see some of Irelands most beautiful landscapes and cities. To meet and interact with extremely friendly people. Our guide Sean is so knowledgable of Irelands history. He went above and beyond our expectations of this trip. He helped make our 25 th anniversary one we will never forget.
Bucket List Trip # 2
I had an amazing time! This trip was everything I dreamed of and more. Sean was our guide and was so fun and interesting to listen to. I traveled alone but I made some lasting friendships. We were like old friends by the end of the tour..Thank You again .
Ireland
The Hotel in Cork was to far out from city center. Had to take taxie. Would have rather gone to Kinsale, or had an optional tour to Kinsale. With the add ons of the tour director, the tour was great. I have only traveled the world on my own, so this was my first tour. I realized how important the tour guide and bus driver are to a successful tour. Ours were fantastic!!!!!
Ireland: First trip beyond America.
Our Tour Guide, Sean, was very knowledgeable about the Country Of Ireland. He gave us considerable amount of information relative to the places we would be visting. Sean made the bus trip enjoyable by pointing out different aspects of Irish culture.
week in Ireland
The trip was wonderful. I brought my 78 year old mother and she had a great time. She was fully able to enjoy most of the trip and found a place to rest if it was a little to strenous. The tour director and bus driver were very pleasant. and knowledgable.
Ireland trip
I felt that the tour was excellent and a great price. The bus driver and tour director did a great job. However, I felt that the optional tours were not a good value. The night at the castle was way too expensive for what we got. The show was cheesy and the dinner was awful. Plus we wanted to look around the castle and that was not an option. For $125, it was a ripoff. I would not hesitate to go with Go Ahead Tours again, just avoid the optional tours.
Great Trip
I felt like we had plenty of time to do things we individually wanted to do, but still had a good amount of guidance and pre-planned things to do that gave us a chance to learn about the cities and areas we were visiting.
A fun week
This was my first tour, and what I learned was that the absolute key to success is the location of the hotel. The hotel in Galway was in a fabulous location, within easy walking to fun areas for shopping and dining. The hotel in Cork was in a terrible location, a fancy hotel that was off somewhere in the suburbs. (Sure, you could take a cab, but when you have never been to the city before you don't even know where to tell the driver to take you.). The hotel location in Dublin was okay, not the greatest.
go ahead tours - Galway, Cork, Dublin
Our tour Director Cornelius Webber and our bus driver Paddy were top notch. They went out of their way to be informative, funny, helpful, professional and accommodating to everyone on our tour bus. They were friendly and salt of the earth men that made our Irish adventure even more meaningful. One of my highlights was wanting to see Bridget's Well and they made a brief detour so that I could see the well and touch the healing waters of St. Bridget's well. Everyone on the tour bus got off and checked it out as well and it became a "hit" with us all ... Cornelius was able to give the background and history of this religious icon and it added to the overall tour. It was this sort of service that will stand out in my mind and the reason why I will recommend Go Ahead to anyone that asks about you. If all your Directors and Drivers are like Con and Paddy you are in good hands!
Loved every minute. Delightful trip.
This trip was fun, exciting, and everything I could've asked for. The optional trips were fantastic! This is a trip I would take again!
