Excellent tour. Hotels, meals. but above all, our Guide, Stefan, and our fellow tour members made this trip a memorable experience.

Historical Germany

The trip was so much more than I had expected. Visiting towns and buildings which were historically significant were really satisfying. The pace was somewhat fast but it was my decision to keep going, going , goimg. I didn't want to miss a thing. I have strongly recommended the tour to friends.

Understanding Germany from the Inside

GoAhead's" Historic Germany: Berlin to Bavaria" coveres the key sites that one associates with Germany History. These include palaces and sites associated with the former German Empire as well as World War II and the Cold War era. One only needs to have a basic understanding of Germany's role in World History over the past two hundred years to appreciate the sites covered by this tour. Touring in the Ceclienhof Palace where the Potsdam agreement that divided Europe at the end of World War II is definitely among the highlights that are covered as are visits to the kaiser's palace at Potsdam and the Bavarian royal palace of Nyphenburg. If the traveler would like, there is also plenty of included time to visit churches and museums. The tour director that GoAhead provides for this tour is also extremely professional and very oriented to customer satisfaction. I would recommend this tour to anone wanting to a better understanfing of Germany.

Excellant Tour

This was a well organized and excellant tour. If you love German culture, history and food this tour is highly recommended. The group of 38 , which I thought would be too large was great, nice friendly people. The Tour Director Alex Peterson made the trip fun, interesting and his knowledge of the places we visited really brought the history of Germany alive. Alex's, enthusiasm, excellant organizational and people skills made the trip a success. The City Tour guides were also very good. I would take this tour again.

Trip of a Lifetime with My Daughter

Touring Berlin, Potsdam, Dresden, Gorlitz (& Poland), Weimar, Bamberg, Rothenberg, Nurenberg, & Munich was incredible! Learning about each city's unique history, culture, architecture, etc., from the people who live there, is a priceless opportunity! We truly enjoyed each city, every tour with our group, every meal, and every "on our own" experience. Our tour director was incredible, and our local tour guides taught us more in 11 days than either of us ever learned in school. Both my daughter and I had expected to have some culture shock since neither of us had ever traveled abroad before; but to our surprise, we did not. Being with a tour group gave us a sense of security that we would not have had if traveling on our own. We absolutely loved Germany and were very sad to leave--we will go again! Germany - a learning experience

This school year my students will hear about my great two weeks in Germany. I have pictures to share, stories to tell, and experiences to share. It was two weeks of nonstop learning. I can't wait for the school year to begin; it is my hope to bring what I learn into my classroom so my students will learn from this great experience.

Absolutely perfect!

This was my first trip to Europe. Although I was reluctant to go on an organized tour, this trip changed my mind. Everything was so well organized. Our guide was so knowledgable and attentive to every detail. The side trips were fabulous. The sights were beautiful and I learned so much about German history.

German Adventure

The Historic Germany tour was fabulous! The guides, especailly Kevin Kennedy and Alex Petersen were very informative about all aspects of German history - from the distant past to the most recent reunification. I felt like I learned a lot. Also, they made sure we were able to get an entire cultural experience with various locations. One of my favorites was the Ettal Abbey in Bavaria.
