Great tour

Croatia and Slovenia were beautiful and certainly interesting. We did all the extras so as not to miss anything and were glad we did. The Lake Bled extension was certainly worth doing.

SO SO

The Tour Director was in to much a hurry so she could take her sleep. Some Places where we ate where sure not the best.

Excellent trip

Croatia is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. Tamara is a great tour director. The itinerary is very good. We visited great cities & spent the right amount of time in each. The only thing that I was very unhappy about was that the day we went to Mostar & Medjugorie, we spent a lot of time in Mostar but only 30 minutes in Medjugorie. If you are going to have Medjugorie in the itinerary then you need to take some time away from Mostar or just not visit Medjugorie. It was a complete waste of time going there.

Check out these countries!

If your friends say "Coatia, what is that?" Tell them, it is like Italy and Greece without the crowds and turmoil. Great climate, nice people, no beggars, an economy that seems to be chugging along, what's not to like? And Slovenia? It's like Switzerland and Austria and is just next door. Don't miss the wild mushroom soup. Go for it!

Incredible Trip

The Croatia/Slovenia trip with time in Bosnia and Montenegro ranks at the top of all the trips I have taken. The beauty of the countries met and exceeded any of my expectations. Plitvicka National Park was the true highlight of a trip that was full of highlights starting in Dubrovnik and ending in Lake Bled.

New Discovery

When I told friends that I was going to Croatia and Slovenia, they did not know how to respond. I had read and studied for the trip but was totally blown away with the history, beautiful places and outstanding people. It was such a pleasant surprize!! I would reccomend this trip to anyone interested in history and beautiful landscapes!

Beautiful scenery

The trip was quite nice but not without some minor inconveniences such as long waits at border crossings especially during excursions to Montenegro and Mostar. The visit to Medjugorje could have been removed from the schedule and more time given to shop in Mostar. Most of our group just went for a drink on the main street and a shorter travel day would have been nicer. The accommodations were wonderful but the included meals were just adequate.Meals that we had at local restaurants were exceptional. Croatia was beautiful ,especially along the coast but Slovenia offered spectacular vistas especially in Lake Bled .The extension should not be missed !!The Julian Alps and surrounding area were picture perfect, Don't miss enjoying the cream cake offered in Bled,a thousand calories but unbelievably decadent!! Would definitely so back to Slovenia and visit more of Ljubjiana,

trip was just OK

The tour director was a young arrogant, disorganized woman.. She need to attend decent customer service courses... The highlight of the trip was Slovenia, where people are less confused, are way ahead of Croatia, Montenegreo, and part of Bosnia we saw.. Lyubyana is marvelous...and the local guide wonderful.. Would not go back..Enough of cathedral and churches!! Loads of tourists feom all over the world.. Dubrovnic is nice if you can stand pushing you way around amongst thousands of other tours....Too bad

Interesting countries

Lufthansa let me down. I have thought they were a fine airline but the return trip was uncomfortable. The food was not good, the seats were worn out, and I think the cabin pressure was not "right" because I kept feeling worse and worse, all of which abated once I was off the plane. The hotels were good, the walk through Plitvice National Park was too long for me. It would have been better for me to have joined the walk partway down and do the bottom half rather than the whole thing. Dubrovnik was wonderful as was Split. The optionals involved very long bus days. Overall a good trip.

A not-to-be-missed trip.

Like most eastern European tours, history figures prominently in one's experience of Croatia and Slovenia. Our knowledgeable and fair-minded tour guide greatly enhanced my understanding and enjoyment of this beautiful, fascinating and sometimes heartbreaking area. Our congenial tour group added to the fun. Highly recommended - bring comfortable walking shoes for sure!
