Great trip
This was my first tour and it was great. The tour guide, luis in brazel and Argintina was just so wonderful. He was kind, helpful and just perfect. The cost of the tour was very reasonable The whole trip was very well organized with enough free time for yourself The accomodations, all tour guides(local) were great. The time spent in these countries were just enough flavor of the countries Everyone should go on this trip thanks a bunch lynn
A wonderful tour!
I loved this trip for so many reasons! 1) We got to see some amazing sights in both Brazil and Argentina 2) We had a TREMENDOUS tour guide -- Luiz, who is a longtime resident of Buenos Aires. He did so much extra for our group, everything from getting us extra internet access to buying us little gifts. He was a wealth of knowledge and just a delightful person. 3) We didn't have too much time on a bus, which was great. We FLEW between all three stops -- yea! 4). We had a very great group of fellow travelers AND we had amazing weather, especially at Iguasu Falls, the highlight of the trip! We also had some excellent included meals -- especially loved the dinner show at Iguasu Falls!
Relaxing and Exciting Tour
Our Tour of Argentina and Brazil along with the 3 day extension to Chile was excellent. Our Tour Guide and local Tour Guides were also excellent. One complaint I do have is that our regular Tour Guide waited until the last 2 or 3 days of the tour to hand out the Address Information Contact for all the tour members to complete should any of us wish to stay in contact with one another after the tour. She did inform us on the last day of the tour that she could not Xerox them, however, she would Email them to us after the tour. It has now been 2 months and I have still not received the listing. My recommendation is that this particular function should be done at the beginning of the tour and not wait until the end of the tour to attempt to do this, as it may not be possible. Other then this, our Tour Guide was excellent. Our Tour Guide in Chile was also excellent and very informative. I did have one small complaint after the tour, and I am happy to report that the management of Go Ahead did resolve this matter with me as I had requested. Overall an excellent tour of 3 countries that heretofore I was unfamiliar with. Looking forward to my next Go Ahead Tour. PS: Our daughters would like to take a trip to Europe and I would appreciate it if you could mail me a booklet of the tours in Europe. Thank you. Toan M. Thu
Romantic and Easy Tour
Our Tour of Argentina and Brazil along with the 3 day extension to Chile was excellent. Our Tour Guide and local Tour Guides were also excellent. Seeing the magnificant Water Falls and Christ the Redeemer Statue were the highlights of the tour. Sugar Loaf mountain was also a relaxing enjoyable day. All the tour guides were professional and very knowledgeable along with being friendly to all of us.
Value
Value as all airfare's included. Informative local guides. Many suggestions offered for free time.
Discover Brazil and Argentina
I can absolutely recommend this tour. The itinerary was excellent. It covered all the key spots to see in each location. The tour guides were superb (with one exception, the one at Iguazu Falls was redundant). In particular the tour director, Sigried Bubeck stood out. She was very knowledgeable, flexible and a simple joy to travel with. She gave excellent guidance and advise on things to see and do beyond the tour schedule. While the locations of the hotels were very good they can certainly use an upgrade. And lastly, inquire about the average age of the folks on the tour if this is important to you.
Discover Brazil & Argentina
Iguassu Falls is a sight you should not miss.
Iguassu Falls - breathtaking!
A great group of people. The tour directors CIGI and KELLY were great. They were always upbeat and tried to make everyone happy. The schedule was too tight, we had very little time at the sites we visited. ONE COMPLAIN! We had to carry our luggage in and out of hotels and airports! That was supposed to be included in the price of the tour.!!!!
Dramatic Scenery!
This tour offered the opportunity to see some of the world's most dramatic scenery. Looking down upon the hills and beaches of Rio from the base of the Christ the Redeemer Statue, gazing out from the cable car of Sugar Loaf Mountain, and standing by the thundering waters of Iguassu Falls are once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Those of us who had window seats as we crossed the Andes were filled with awe as we gazed down upon the vast (and frighteningly rugged!) wilderness below. Our accomodations were, for the most part, comfortable and reasonably well located. We loved the "meat feasts" in Chile and Argentina, and we saw fine examples of samba, tango, and other local talents in each city/country. I suggest reading several books from Goahead's reading list before taking this tour. To understand, even to some degree, the history and "stories" of Brazil, Buenos Aires/Argentina, and Santiago de Chile, will enhance the travel experience. A basic knowledge of South American geography is also helpful. I also suggest thinking ahead about how to use free time productively, perhaps with the help of travel guides and/or internet research. Overall I had another wonderful experience with Goahead. I appreciate the high level of service and concern shown by Goahead personnel and representatives.
Not the best trip
Highlight of the trip was the tour of Rio de Janiero, Igassu Falls and Santiago Chile. Worst part of the trip were the hotel accomodations in Buenas Aires. The location was not up to GoAhead standards nor was the hotel itself. Infact, of the twelve tours I have taken with Goahead, this hotel was the worst one. The tents in Kenya might have been even better.
