Too much to see; too little time

This tour was a good overview of the area, but would have been more valuable if time was longer and more days spent in larger cities. The tour director was exceptional, but there was nothing he could do about all the traveling.

Our First Tour Experience

This was our first tour and a good learing experience. It was fast paced (a little too much for our age); 6 hotels in 11 days. Beautiful scenery and sites. I never realized there were so many castles in Europe. Especially enjoyed the Traditional Irish Evening and a make-up event (sheepherding demonstration with sheep dogs). Our tour guide was excellent in his knowledge, humor, and people skills. For our next tour, we will pick one with a more leisurely pace.

Yes, Ireland is as green as the pictures!!!!

This is my third tour with Go-Ahead and, as the other two, it was amazing. I am 61 years old and just want to see the world, so i try to visit different places everytime I take a trip. I love going on a tour because it gives you the opportunity to see a lot in a short time frame and you have the benefit of the expertise of the tour director and guides in the various places. My experiences with Go-Ahead has been excellent and I definately am hoping for another trip with them in a couple of years. Ireland and Scotland were absolutely beautiful and it was fun trying out all the different modes of transportation. The accommodations were great!

Think before you sign up

This is not for the faint of heart. You spend a great deal of time on the bus beczause you have to travel great distances. TYhen you get only a tast of where you are because you have to get on to the next place. The hotels are so far from the center of town that you have to walk a great deal just to see the places you are in.

Trip of a lifetime

Wonderful trip that allowed us to experience a little of what England, Scotland, and Ireland have to offer. It also provided a great chance to try the different modes of transportation that are essential to travel in Europe. Absolutely wonderful experience!!

UK and Ireland

Great sights, enjoyable but quite large group of 44 people, too much time riding on the bus. Would recommend restructuring the itinerary to allow a few more choices of activities that do not require such long bus rides. All in all, a very enjoyable experience!

Disappointed

I was disappointed in the quality of the tour as I felt it was disorganized with quite a bit of hidden cost. I know I had the option to select the additional activities but I would have liked to known before hand the activities may be offered. I would have planned for the additional cost. I did not appreciate not having an option x2 on where to eat especially when fish & chips cost me $30.00! The hotel in London had mold growing on the walls in the shower & this is what I had to settle for as the room was already changed once. The smell in the first room was pungent & intolerable. If I had any respiratory diseases I would not have been able to stay in the hotel at all. The hotel was also too far from London. I realize this was a change because of the Olympics but getting into London took quite a while which effected what I was able to do & see. Parts of the trip I enjoyed were Scotland, Windsor Castle & Wales. The hotels in Scotland & Wales were fine especially the inn in Wales. For me, visiting Beatrice Potter's house rather than Wordsworth would have been more exciting as I am much more familiar with Potter's writings.
