WOW! Sights of a lifetime!
This was a great tour, we saw sooo much of the American West National Parks! Nancy, tour director, was The Best, with wonderful insider knowledge gained from years of actual travel experience, not just stuff she had read in a book. It definitely keeps you moving, but you must if you intend to see all there is to see. Even if you don't/can't get off the bus you can still see most of the points of interest. Big horn sheep crossed right in front of our bus, and we saw a herd of 80+ buffalo grazing their morning breakfast!
America is Beautiful
Last year I took the National Park tour and this year I was able to take the America the Beautiful tour. It visited new parts of the country that I had yet to visit and they were all amazing. It's great to visit destinations in the US as it's our own backyard. I think that people often forget our own country and the beauty that we have. It's such a special place with amazing places to visit that were created by nature millions of years ago. I think everyone should take the time to travel our own country and see everything America has to offer.
Beautiful Scenery!
We saw so many beautiful places on this tour. The landscape changed with each new place. Nancy our tour guide was wonderful, full of information and she made the long bus rides fun.We loved this tour! We enjoyed seeing Devil Tower, Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore.Mount Rushmore at night was an especially moving experience. Nancy helped arrange for us to go horseback riding in Jackson ,Wyoming. It was a whole different view looking down from the mountains. We would recommend this tour to anyone!
Great trip
Nancy was the greatest! She was very knowledgable and cared about us having a memory that would last for a lifetime. First night should be at the Crown Plaza in Denver for early arrivals to see many sites like The Mint, Molly Brown Museum, etc, and. Last night could be either downtown or the remote property out by the airport. However, downtown for both is preferable. More time needed at Yellowstone to do both loops and with one night stay in Old Faithful Inn even if the price is higher for the trip. Mt Rushmore at night is not worth it since the video presentation was almost a duplicate of the inside video we saw earlier in the day at the museum. The food was plentiful, but not that good. The three opportunities in Moab were great, but exhausting. Need to tell travelers they need water resistant foot wear for the river rafting. Add a day or two to allow better memories; I don't think travelers would object to the time and expense.
America the Beautiful
Good trip, nice itinerary.Tour's success is largely credited to the beauty of America as presented by Tour Director, Nancy Schrag.I've travelled a lot;she's the best of about 20 I have experienced!
america the beautiful tour
I enjoyed the trip. Did some side trips that i wouldn't have done if traveling alone. I would have liked another day in Jackson Hole Wy. There wasn't enough time to see all. Everyone treated us well and there were pleanty of photo ops. I must comment that your tour director nancy O'Kane was great. She was very knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun. She was able to answer any questions that we had regarding the areas and the events that took place.
Scenery the star of this tour
Be prepared to see a constatnly changing landscape of breath-taking vistas and constructs as you travel through 6 states during this amazing tour. Although you must spend considerable time in the bus, you are constantly stopping for photo ops and stretch/comfort breaks, so it doesn't feel as arduous as it might. Be sure to have plenty of snacks and photographic equipment as you will want to be sending these sights back home as quickly as yu can. We tried to get as much sleep as possible so we could enjoy each day. Having traveled to Europe several times we decided to stay home this year, and are so glad we did! Our national parks are a real treasure, and our vast, beautiful West and Northwest something that must be seen to be appreciated.
ameriica the beautiful
i do not know how you could make it more beautiful
Our Beautiful US of A.
We have been blessed with so much natural beauty in our country. "America the Beautiuful, Moab to Rushmore" is one of the perfect ways to experience it. The tour stops were well planned and organized so we would see as much as possible. It was a rather hectic pace but in order to see as much as we did, the early morning calls were well worth it. Our tour director , Nanct S. and our driver "Lucky" were fabulous. They went above and beyond the call of duty , in my opinion.. The unfortunate part pf our trip was having the bus break down not once, but twice! Fortunately, everyone kept their "cool" and we waited out the hours for a new bus without any confrontations. It is because we lost about seven hours of National park visits that I would expect compensation of some sort from the "Go Ahead Tour" company. Is this being considered? I would still recomend this tour to friends. Perhaps I myself will be able to join another group to see more of our great USA.
very enlightening
America the Beautiful was a very well designed trip to a part of the country that I am not very familiar. The accomodations were first rate and more than adequate. The Tour Director was first rate and she did more than enough to make us comfortable and offered many options for us. My only complaint would be with quality of the buses for this tour. We broke down twice and the company did sent replacement buses for us. Our driver was vey patient and caused us no alarm.
