Re: Kenya Wildlife Safari

I have taken the Kenya Wildlife Safari tour with Go Ahead in Novemebr of 2007. It was a great trip, the trip of a lifetime! I chose to do the Tanzania part at the end so I was able to see the Wildebeast migration because it's always a good time to go if you go to Tanzania because the animals make a circle between the two countries. The weather was great and it was not too too hot.

If you decide to book the tour make sure you bring lots of extra memory cards or film, then animals are incredible. I would not have changed a thing about this trip, the people, the food, the culture was all the best in my life!

Re: Kenya Wildlife Safari

I went on this trip and it was truly a life changing experience! I traveled during the month of July-during the wildebeest migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania up to the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya so there was plenty of prime game viewing . This was perfect time to travel there weather wise as well since they are on opposite seasons from the US, so in July it technically is Kenya's "winter" so it was very comfortable temperatures-cool in the mornings/evenings-about 50-60's, but would also warm to high 70's, low 80's during the afternoon.

You have to do this tour at some point in your life! The sights are breathtaking, the people are warm and eager to share their country with you! Make sure to bring lots of  camera film and memory sticks you will definitely need them!

Re: Kenya Wildlife Safari

Went on this tour in the fall of 2007 with some co workers. We were talking about it again today. we would do this trip again in a heartbeat. Loved the balloon ride. the driver/guides were so knowledgeable. this trip exceeded our expectations. We went in November. Spent thanksgiving in the Serengetti. The extension to Tanzania was well worth it. Loved the Ngorongoro  Crater.

Re: Kenya Wildlife Safari

I took this tour in October, 2005.  We had perfect weather....and no bugs!  You cannot beat the wildlife viewing.  I added the Tanzania extension and had no regrets.  We saw every kind of wildlife in action.  Our local guides were outstandng.  Lodging and meals were first class.  This is a once in a lifetime trip.  As others have remarked...be sure to have large memory cards....and your battery charger.  The photo opts are unbelieveable.
