National Parks

This tour was so wonderful and filled with things I could not dream of. Each stop was more interesting than the next. Our tour director Stevyn was very knowledgeable of the history of each place we went to.The driver Chia was also very good. I told so many people how great our nation is for its history and its landscape.

Hi Elizabeth! We're delighted to hear that this tour exceeded your expectations. We appreciate your feedback on both your Tour Director and bus driver, and we will be sure to share it with them. Thank you for your review, and we hope to welcome you on tour again!

Majestic Beauty

The National Parks Rushmore to Rocky Mountains was an incredible experience. The itinerary brought us to many different National Parks, each with its own unique beauty. Our bus driver was skilled, polite, friendly and helpful. Our tour guide, Stevyn was excellent. We were always well-informed and were brought to the best rest stops in each of the parks. This was our first bus tour, so we were a little anxious about that experience. Now we are looking forward to future tours with Go-Ahead. The maximum of 35 people was a help as the bus had 55 seats. The hotels and meals were all good. We did so much more than we could have on our own and it was fun to share the experience with other travelers. Stevyn did a great job of choosing rest stops (at least once every 2 hours) and giving us plenty of time to take photos. We were lucky to see the fall foliage. We took advantage of the extras that Stevyn arranged and appreciated the days when he arranged group lunches so we could have more time to explore the parks.

Hello! We’re delighted to hear that you had an incredible experience on tour. You’re right that each of the parks has its own unique beauty. We’re glad that, between your Tour Director and your bus driver, you felt prepared, informed, and safe. We will be sure to share this feedback with them. We’re happy to learn that this experience was so great that you’d like to travel with us again, and we look forward to when you do! Thank you very much for sharing your experience.

A Fabulous Trip

From the moment we landed in Rapid City, South Dakota until the day we left for home, we were taken care of in a warm and professional manner. Our tour guide, Stevyn, was exceptional...taking care of every detail so that we could sit back and enjoy all the destinations on this trip and even more. The trip truly came to life due to his knowledge, enthusiasm and diligence. One couldn't help but feel that his mission was to enrich and satisfy the hopes and dreams that all travelers have as they set out on an adventure such as this. Stevyn's conscientiousness and foresight during each step of the journey convinced us that we were receiving the absolute best quality on this tour, U.S. National Parks: Mount Rushmore to the Rockies.

Hi Maureen! We're glad you enjoyed the Go Ahead hospitality from start to finish. Between your Tour Director and all the logistics planned in advance for you, it's great to know that you could kick back and relax! That's certainly our goal. Speaking of your Tour Director, we're so glad that his efforts made for an even more informative, enthusiastic, and smooth journey for you. We will be sure to share your kind feedback with him. Thank you for your review, and we hope to welcome you on tour again!

Wonderful Trip!

What a great time we had on the America the Beautiful Tour this past September. The trip was planned to optimize our time, not wasting a moment. We saw amazing sights, had a personable and helpful bus driver (Chia), and there are no words to describe our tour director, Nancy. She was organized, truly brilliant and at our disposal throughout the entire trip. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable with the activities and with each other. I have never had a tour guide as totally devoted to duty as she was; the best experience ever. My only negative comment was about the bus ... no back seat pockets or cup holders or anywhere to put "stuff" making it a it uncomfortable at times. Often there were water bottles rolling around on the floor and papers being dropped. We spent a lot of time on the bus and all would have appreciated a bit more clutter containment. All in all, I would highly recommend the America the Beautiful tour to anyone!!

Hi Ruthanne! We’re so glad you had a great time exploring from Moab to Mount Rushmore! We’re also delighted to learn that your Tour Director and your bus driver were helpful and added value along the way. It sounds like their efforts made for a wonderful tour experience! Regarding the bus, we appreciate your feedback, and we will be sure to communicate it to the bus company we work with. We value your comments very much. Thank you for recommending this tour. We hope to welcome you on tour again!

Rocky Mountains

Experience the wonder of the rockies...totally fabulous experience in all the parks. Tour group were so friendly and always on time. Just avoid "Murphy's Resort" as a place to stay...a real dump. Breakfast was good, room disgusting, has not remodeled since the 50's. Colorado River raft trip...for beginners only, disappointing to anyone who has raft seriously. Little Big Horn a real rip-off at $35.00 each when it only cost seniors $10.00 to get in plus they give you a pass for entrance to all the parks free. Tour guide (Nancy) and bus driver (Chia) were awesome but the bus needs cup holders and a pocket on the back of each seat...for long trips...no where to put anything.

Dear Claudette, We’re glad you had a fabulous experience exploring such a beautiful area of the U.S. We’re also pleased you enjoyed the company of your tour group, as well as the expertise of your Tour Director and bus driver. Regarding one of your hotels, we regret that it did not meet your expectations, and we will be sure to communicate this to our Operations team for further evaluation. Regarding the special visit to Little Big Horn, the cost of any excursion offered either by Go Ahead or by your Tour Director (in this case, your Tour Director) not only includes the actual activity or sight, but it also includes accompaniment by your expert Tour Director as well as transportation to and from the optional. This particular excursion also included a ranger discussion, which your Tour Director was able to arrange. Your Tour Director voluntarily offered to arrange this because the vast majority of your group expressed interest. That said, we regret that you feel the experience did not live up to its value. Regarding your bus, we appreciate your feedback on the interior design of the bus, and we will be sure to share this with the bus company. Thank you for your review, and we hope to welcome you on tour again.

Great Trip!

It was a great tour to be able to see what is available to see in our own country. We have seen most of the national parks on the west side of the country and will be starting to see the east coast soon. I love Go Ahead Tours and I recommend them to everyone I speak to. It is a great value and I love the people that work with this company. Our tour director Nancy is FABULOUS!!!! Can not wait to do my next tour in March 2017!

Beautify America

Mt. Rushmore to the Rocky Mountains tour is the best National Parks tour I have been, the sites are outstanding and breathtaking. Every park has a different theme to offer. The iterinary started at Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, then (Devil Tower and Big Horn- Montana added on), Yellow Stone, Grand Teton, Arches National Park (Utah) and Colorado Rocky Mountains, plus some on the way. It was exhausting, but refreshing ot see the beautiful landscape in the rockies. My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed the tour very much.

Hello! We’re so glad this is the best national parks tour you’ve experienced. You’re right that the sites are simply breathtaking and that each park has something unique to offer. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you on tour again!

In Love!

We were nervous at first because this was our first tour. My husband had been reluctant to travel. He was apprehensive of the idea, but by the 2nd day we were so in awe of everything we were seeing. Plus the people on the tour were such great people! We fell in love with everyone. My husband can't stop telling everyone of his great experience!! Our tour guide was fun, and informative. Our bus driver was friendly and helpful. We will definitely consider another tour in our future.

Way out west

Enjoyable trip and covered a lot of territory. Only downside was too little time at Yellowstone. We expected this to be a major park visit and it was almost a throwaway.

Hi Doris! We're pleased that you enjoyed your time on tour. You're right that this itinerary covers a lot of ground, as it visits a number of sites and parks. We regret that you were disappointed with the amount of time spent at Yellowstone. We will be sure to communicate your feedback to our Product Development team so that we might consider changing the itinerary for future departures. Thank you for your review, and we hope to welcome you on tour again!

Sttevyn was the best of the best. I learned more from him than I learned from my history classes. Brian. Our bus driver, was awesome too. When we take another tour we will take the one that Stevyn heads up. We travel a lot and he other tour guides did not come close to his presentation and the enthusiasm he had. Thank you , Stevyn!

Awesome Tour Director

America the Beautiful tour was a remarkable trip thanks to Stevyn our very special tour guide. He managed the "12 days" perfectly with a wonderful spirit and joy. Stevyn's in-depth knowledge, his experience and unbelievable memory skills brought every sight alive and mesmerizing and exceeded all expectations. We were entertained "on" and "off" the bus making our time pass so quickly. Stevyn surprised us with a few extra stops along the way that added to an already fascinating tour. Our group found it emotional to say good-bye to each other and above all to Stevyn. We also had a special group of wonderful travelers, that all agreed to try and travel again with Stevyn on Go Ahead tours next year. Cannot forget to mention that Nick was a great driver that made us feel extremely safe with his driving skills the entire trip. Nick and and Stevyn made a great team. The hotels were very clean and in good locations. The food was very good. America the Beautiful captures wonderful places and this trip is the "Best we have experienced." I will be sure to recommend Go Ahead to all my friends and family.

Best Tour Director

I had never been on a tour like this before and I really loved it. Stevyn P. our tour director was the Best. His knowledge and expertise was beyond words. He painted a picture for me and I was able to appreciate everything with a clearer eye. The Arches, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons etc,. were majestic and beyond anything I could have imagined. Stevyn gave us his love of this country and all of its wonders. You are very lucky to have Stevyn on your staff. My friends on the tour were people you want to know for life. Funny, compassionate, good natured and warm. We all had a great time and would recommend Go Ahead to others. Also Nick the bus driver was a gem. He kept us safe.

Greatest Tour Director Ever!!

Few trips exceed my expectations, but thanks to Stevyn P., America the Beautiful came to life before my eyes and did just that! Stevyn made what could have been boring long rides exciting and educational. I was immediately impressed by his vast knowledge base and his incredible memory. He answered even the most obscure questions; and in the rare occasion it was necessary cheerfully agreed to research the topic. Clearly he loves his job, loves learning, and loves sharing. In addition, his scope of experience including walking solo across both the United States and Europe made for excellent, interesting stories. He kept us entertained, laughing, and learning without realizing it. Perhaps we had a unique group but everyone managed to coalesce as one, deferring to one another, and sharing treats. Not an unkind word or sullen expression could be heard or seen. Truly, this was one of my favorite trips, and I have already recommended it to several people who heard the Go Ahead name for the first time.

Nancy Is the greatest Tour Director

Nancy was organized and knowledgeable - we had the best time and are this telling everyone who will listen to us what a wonderful time we had. Nancy did everything possible to make sure everyone was having fun. Our Driver Alfred was amazing on the National Park roads that were twisting and turning, He was great. Nancy helped us all with taking photos and where was the best place to take them. A wonderful trip for the price and we did all the extras available which were fun and enjoyable to anyone who came. One thing would have been to stay at the National Parks- we know how hard it is to get rooms there without at least a years notice. Great trip Thanks to everyone at GO Head Tours Gary& Jeannette J.

Great tour of parks

Our tour director, Nancy, was so enthusiastic and fun! We liked the itinerary but believe more meals and the optionals should be included. We recommend there be a introduction and selection of buddies on the first night. We "wasted" an afternoon in Moab with 99 degree temps and optional float trip which we chose not to do. Perhaps Two nights in Moab is too much

Dear Ronald, Thank you for traveling with us, and for taking the time to review your recent trip! We are proud to have an expert team of Tour Directors all over the world, and are so pleased that you found Nancy to be enthusiastic and fun! Our itineraries are designed to allow for our travelers to customize their experience. We have certain inclusions to provide structure and cultural context to our tours, along with supplemental optional excursions that travelers can participate in if they are interested. Our Tour Directors are well trained to provide additional information and support to travelers looking to spend time exploring on their own. We have found that many of our travelers see Moab as a true highlight of this trip, and we regret to learn that you felt you ‘wasted’ an afternoon there. We thank you for your review and for traveling with Go Ahead, and we hope to welcome you onto another tour in the future!

Go Ahead with National Parks Tours

This was the first time I travelled with Go Ahead. Practically all of the 32 on the tour spoke highly and had been on several trips before. Great value and educational. All our needs were met and personalized. Arches, which I had never seen before, was incredible - now have to see Bryce and Zion. Revisiting Salt Lake City, Tetons, Yellowstone, Badlands, Rushmore after many years, plus first time visits to Little Bighorn in MT, and Crazy Horse in SD were special too. WY has much to offer. Denver City tour also was comprehensive. Thank you!

Tour Director

Tour Director is meant everything for this kind of bus tour. Nancy is the best, her knowledge, experience, good positives, well alerts and good memories. We were lucky to have her on our tour. For any tour director to take care 44 people is quite tough, but she made it so simple and fun. We are looking forward for our next tour.

Great Tour

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our Tour Director Lindsay was great, the itinerary was packed with scenic stops, and our new friends were entertaining to say the least. I've never seen so many beautiful places and at the same time....never laughed so much! We'd go again tomorrow if we could!
